Convenient and friendly
We were visiting nearby friends. This was a convenient hotel to stop. Parking could have been a problem but, thankfully, it wasn't.

The hotel looks very nice from the outside and had good location close to the meeting I had to attend as well as close to a local industrial park. The drawbacks were (1) that the hotel charged a lot for WiFi as well as for breakfast, (2) there was a smell in the hallway (may be due to pest control?) and the room itself while clean and all, had no laundry bags, only one english TV station, etc. A lot of niceties that other hotels might include were not given here.

nice hotel just outside of central stuttgart
This is a very clean hotel. By taxi, it took about 15min from the train station. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel decor is a bit dated, but the entire hotel is spotless.

The Hotel itself was good for a day or two but there was nothing around it. you had to get on the train to go downtown which took 15 mins. there is no clothes shops around it or for that matter any good shops at all. the staff are not friendly at all and when you asked them for something you got a look before they did what you nicely asked them to do. I am not staying there again and would not reconmend the hotel to anyone. next time I will pick a hotel closer to Downtown

The Hetzel Hotel Loewen
The Hetzel Hotel Loewen may not be in a perfect location but a quick taxi ride into town is easily done. The hotel was clean and very friendly and helpful.

Perfect for what we needed...
This was my first trip to Germany and I don't speak any German. We turned up at Hetzel Hotel Loewen and were greeted by a lovely lady on the front desk. She spoke beautiful English and was incredibly helpful- to the point of showing us to the inhouse restaurant and translating the menu to us. Our room was clean and comfortable with all the ammenities we would expect. The neighbourhood was a quiet leafy suburb, situated about a 10 minute S-Bahn journey away from the very heart of Stuttgart. All in all a very pleasant stay, I would definately come back and stay here again.

A little out of the way but 5* friendliness
This is a German style hotel so if you're expecting a generic 'Ibis' style hotel then it's not for you. The cleanliness was impecable, the receptionist was very friendly and spoke in English as we didn't speak enough German to get by. The only thing missing in the room was shampoo in the en-suite. The photos are fairly accurate to how the hotel is. There isn't anything to do in the immediate area. The train line (U9 line from Wangen Marktplatz) goes directly to the central station (Hauptbahnof) and takes 10 minutes. Trains run up until nearly midnight I think. On checking-out we were presented with a gift bag of a small bottle of cava, a mug, a christmas card and some German Christmas-time cake which is very sweet considering we only stayed 2 nights. The hotel is quiet, comfortable and quaint. I would stay again and recommend to anyone who doesn't mind being a bit out of the centre. Danke schon hotel Hetzel! :-)

Good neighborhood hotel
The hotel is not near much activity and is at the end of a train line. However, it has a great restaurant/bar attached. Once you know where you are going it is easy to take the train anywhere you want to go. I would happily stay there again.

Schrecklich!!!! Doppelzimmer bezahlt und verwahrlostes Einzelzimmer bekommen. Auf meine Anmerkung hin wurde mir gesagt, dass es ja nur ein Wunsch gewesen sei mit dem Doppelzimmer und alle anderen Zimmer wären schon belegt. Das Zimmer war mit das schlechteste was ich bis jetzt erzragen musste und das bei über 200 Tage im Jahr im Hotel. Löcher in den Gardinen und ich meine nicht nur eins sonder er war voll mit löcher. Der Boden fleckig und dreckig Haare von anderen Menschen überall im Zimmer, auch auf dem Schreibtisch. Sehr lecker. Frühstück war miserabel. Kein Brot kein Ei und auch sonst kein gescheites Angebot. Ich kann jedem Menschen nur von diesem Hotel abraten. Absolut unfähiges Personal. Der Ceckin dauert über 30 Minuten. Absolut nicht tragbar.

Wir möchten auf die einzelnen Punkte der Bewertung nicht eingehen, weil die Beschreibung des Zimmers und des Frühstücksservices auf unser Haus in keinster Weise zutrifft. Wir hätten nicht 4 Sterne und viele gute Bewertungen, wenn wir unsere Gäste auf die beschriebene Weise beherbergen würden.Wir vermuten, dass es sich um eine Verwechslung handelt, möchten aber empfehlen, mit der Verbreitung solch schädlicher Bewertungen etwas vorsichtiger umzugehen.

Wir sind nach dem Einchecken in die Stadt und erst nachts zurückgekommen, als wir los sind hat man uns gesagt es fehlen noch Handtücher die aber noch gebracht werden. Als wir dann nachts duschen wollten haben wir festgestellt dass keine Handtücher da waren. Da die Rezeption nicht 24 Stunden besetzt ist hätten wir eine Nummer anrufen müssen was wir um 1.30 Uhr dann nicht mehr machen wollten, da wir müde waren und schlafen wollten. Ich hatte vorab per Email angefragt wegen Dinkelbrötchen zum Frühstück (wegen Weizenunverträglichkeit) und es hieß das sei kein Problem, ich solle das Personal beim Frühstück ansprechen, als ich gefragt habe meinte man „normalerweise haben wir immer welche da“, erwartet hätte ich allerdings schon dass man da speziell etwas zur Seite legt wenn ein Gast schon extra anfragt. Es gab dann leider keine Dinkelbrötchen. Zusätzlich dazu war der Buffetbereich recht klein für die vielen Gäste und durch Personalmangel hat sehr oft etwas gefehlt oder war leer. Wenn man das Personal angesprochen hat wurde es dann relativ zügig aufgefüllt aber sie sind nicht wirklich hinterhergekommen. Alles in allem leider keine 4 Sterne wert.

Personal war freundlich und kommunikativ. Das Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Viel Teppich und Nostalgische Wandfarben. Mein Zimmer glänzte in Mintgrün. Aber es war sauber und das nötigste vorhanden. Die Matratze war top, ich jedenfalls hatte einen guten Schlaf. Das Frühstück war leider eine einzige Katastrophe. Ich hab noch kein Hotel gesehen das so leidenschaftslos um das leibliche wohl des Gastes bemüht war. Und schon gar kein 4 Sterne Niveau. Die billigsten Produkte wurden verwendet,vom Formschinken bis hin zum Apfelnektar war alles aus dem billigsten Sortiment das im Discounter zu finden ist. Nicht mal die Brötchen waren vom Bäcker sondern die Dinger die es in einer 6er Tüte für einen Euro gibt und drei Monate haltbar sind. Wenigstens wurde mir ein Rührei gemacht. Werde nicht mehr kommen. Obwohl die Zimmer okay waren aber das Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis stimmt leider nicht.

Sauberkeit des Zimmers! Die Krümel auf dem Sofa lagen bei Ankunft bis Abfahrt auf dem Sofa! Wir haben zwei Nächte dort geschlafen! Alles andere kann man weiterempfehlen!

Nous sommes arrivés vers 19 heures, il n'y avait personne à l'accueil, la porte était fermée, une affiche nous indiquait qu'il fallait appelé un numéro pour avoir accès à un coffre qui nous délivrait le code pour rentrer, mais le numéro ne répondait pas ! Heureusement quelqu'un qui travaillait au restaurant a bien voulu nous aider à récupérer le code dans le coffre et nous avons pu entrer ! le lendemain la personne à l'accueil était mal aimable !

Wir haben das Hotel gebucht um zu einem Konzert in der Hanns Martin Schleyer Halle erleben zu dürfen, ohne am gleichen Tag wieder zurück fahren zu müssen. Wäre bei 250km doch sehr anstrengend gewesen. Mit Taxi oder Bahn kein Problem in kurzer Zeit dort hin zu gelangen. Wichtig war uns, das es sauber und zweckmäßig für eine Nacht ist. Bei einem Dönerladen und einem Supermarkt in direkter Nähe konnten wir uns stärken und waren daher rundum mit allem sehr zufrieden. Parkplätze sind vorhanden!! Also perfekt.

Optimal für Konzert- oder Stadionbesuch. Wer keine Lust auf Straßenbahn hat kommt günstig auch mit dem Taxi zur Location :-)

Hübsches Hotel, in der Nähe der Stadtbahn
Wir haben bei einem Kurzaufenthalt dieses Hotel gewählt und waren positiv überrascht. Innerhalb von 2 Minuten läuft man zur Stadtbahn, die regelmäßig ins Zentrum fährt. Wenn man ein Konzert bzw. eine Veranstaltung in der Schleyer-Halle bzw. in der Mercedes-Benz-Arena besucht, ist das Hotel genau richtig gelegen. Man hat nicht weit zu laufen, oder man fährt eben ein Stückchen mit der Bahn. Wir würden wieder kommen, wenn wir nochmal nach Stuttgart kommen :-)
