great location, but needs air conditioning working
Everything was pretty spot on with one exception, we called them to let them know the air conditioning was not working and we were told “wait as it should take some time to kick in”, unfortunately we never managed to get it to work during a weekend where there was 30 C heat. Location is amazing if you are looking for nature and a calm stay.

I had a very nice stay. Very large rooms, comfortable and high-quality bedding and furnishings. The breakfast was tasty and quite good overall, though whole-grain breads could be improved.

Nice hotel in residential area close to large park
The hotel is located in a quiet residential area close to Strasbourg's largest park - L'Orangerie. Nice balconies and courteous staff. Large street food market very close by on Sundays on blvd de la marne. Would stay there again.

Le jean Sebestien is an Ideal place to stay in Strasbourg. Very comfortable large rooms with kitchen facilities. Surprisingly well equipped full kitchen in small space well managed. Just 10 min walk to tram which takes you to city center and major attractions in 15 minutes. We had a very comfortable stay. Staff was very nice and breakfast was very good. Everyone had good smiling attitude. We enjoyed our stay.

Good value and free parking
Excellent reception when checking in. Lots of help offered for getting around and recommendations of what to do. The hotel was useful when bringing a car in that there was plenty of free parking on the street nearby and it seemed a safe area. With breakfast included, the hotel was clean, comfortable and for the one night we stayed, was excellent value for the price.

We loved this property because is was not in the center of town, but out near the largest park in the city. It was walking distance to public transit; very quiet neighborhood (and a very quiet hotel), excellent and bountiful breakfast and the staff (desk, wait and housekeeping staff) were friendly and courteous. The room was large and there was a balcony on which you could have meals or just sit and enjoy the sights. Highly recommended - would stay here again.

The hotel is very nice and well located for the European institutions. Staff was lovely and helpful and the in-room breakfast was delicious. I'm putting four stars instead of five because I did have some issues connecting to the Wifi - it's an unsecure network so my phone wouldn't let me connect and my laptop needed lots of persuading. I didn't try asking for help from staff though since I wasn't staying long, so I don't know if they could have solved it!

Lovely Hotel and Location!
Checkin was quick and easy. The location was very nice. A park across the street and a Saturday market one block away. The rooms are nice size and the balcony was perfect. It allowed me to smoke a nice cigar and see the park. The only reasons I am not giving five stars are; the breakfast area is very small so you either wait or don’t include breakfast in your booking. They were very apologetic and offered bread to go, and I think the carpet in our room needed to be cleaned probably from the winter season.

A bit far from town center, but OK overall
The hotel is located about 3 km from center of Strasbourg near the Orangerie park in a quiet area. Also the rooms are soundproof and we never heard any of our neighbors. It's nice to have a park nearby and free parking available on the street, although there are a few things worth noting: 1) choice of restaurants within walking distance is very limited. There is an Italian restaurant in the next building, two restaurants in the park (both were closed almost all the time during our stay) and a few bakeries and take away shops. Fortunately, Uber Eats and Deliveroo both deliver to the hotel. 2) only instant coffee is available for breakfast. 3) room had a few spaces with thick dust layers. We found a bottle left by other guests under the bed. One day cleaning took all the shower gels and soaps away from the room, but didn't bring any new, another day nobody came to clean the room at all (and when we returned we found that 'please make up my room' sign was reverted to 'do not disturb'). 4) we asked to fix a light bulb in the extractor fan, but nobody fixed it. 5) although initially we got a confirmation for a double bed in the room, we got two single beds upon arrival. After 2 days the hotel allowed us to change the room. 6) would be nice to have slippers/bathrobes in the room for that price. Overall, a good option when coming with a car.

Large room. Continental BF good. Delivered to room. Kitchenette w coffee maker, kettle, fridge, dishes, tiny DW. Balcony w table & chairs. Saturday market 1 block away. Large park 1 block away. V. Quiet for sleeping. Street parking. 15 min walk to tram. Safe neighbourhood. Would stay again.

A nice place to stay in Strasbourg.
Our suite was roomy, comfortable, and quiet, Though the hotel is in an older building, it has been totally modernized...New shower, kitchen side-bar with stove,microwave, fridge, small washing machine, dishes, etc. The people at the desk were consistently pleasant and helpful. It is located in a quiet neighborhood, near a large city park( excellent walking)-government buildings across the park. The old city area is a 20 or so minute tram ride from the hotel area. (This hotel is not in the old city, as advertised, but we totally enjoyed our stay there- and found our way to the old city area on 2 occasions. The breakfast has a breadth of choices-fresh fruit, breads, eggs,cheese, yogurt, etc. What we appreciated most was the size of the "living room" area and the quiet atmosphere of the hotel. Bathroom amenities were left daily by the cleaning staff. These included: a comb, shoe cleaner, bath hat, soap, etc I should mention that the hotel is not far from a major highway, making it easy to get into and out of the city. All in all, we were extremely with our experience at this hotel

Lovely position near park & close to trams.
Spacious 2 room 'suite' with a large balcony overlooking the park. Staff were very helpful, especially when balcony door broke and would not close! Room clean, but a little 'tired'. Breakfast was fine, reasonable choice, but some of the hot food took 15-20 minutes to be replenished. Good location, free parking spaces on the street outside. Felt like a safe area and a few restaurants within 10 minute walk, or access to trams and city centre.

Spacious and well located
Excellent location for the Council of Europe and the beautiful Orangerie park. Stayed with the family while attending meetings and the hotel was ideal for this. The room was extremely spacious, comfortable, and the staff were helpful and friendly. It was also very quiet - ideal if you need a good sleep or are traveling with small children. There are a few areas where improvements might be made - the room needed a bit of maintenance (one of the balcony doors not working and a broken tile or two in the bathroom) and the breakfast could be improved (ran out of some items by 9am, and not much in the way of fresh fruit). But overall a good experience for the price, and ideal if you are looking for a spacious and quiet room. I will likely be returning.

I found the staff rather not particularly helpful with the exception of the night porter who was excellent. I left the hotel a night early as the WIFI was completely unusable. It was slow and continually dropped. As I had a lot of work to do, this was unacceptable

Quiet hotel near a country park.
Quiet location about 25 min walk to city centre. 10 minute walk to the nearest tram stop with frequent service to city centre. Top tip hire a Veloped bicycle for the time of your stay - cycle paths everywhere and low hire cost (10 mins to city centre - no hills). Great city to explore - Strasbourg Passport best value. Hotel staff were very helpful. Breakfast was adequate - could be improved with higher quality products. Aircon noisy and not very effective. Shower and beds good. Hotel was busy but never noisy or crowded. Opposite a delightful country park open to the public.
