The hotel is closed for renovations. Nobody contacted me prior to arrival to let me know that. Luckily we got a reservation at another property in a matter of minutes.

Staff was very friendly and main lobby was great. Our room (room 17) unfortunately was not that clean and had mosquitoes splattered on the wall. I actually had to re-clean the room. HVAC needs to get clean. There was black mold on the vents and when it was on, a moldy smell came out. This place is conveniently situated , walking distance to many restaurants/stores. Saturday night was the worse noisey night for us. Coming from (next door-Alfie's wild ride). I believe there was an event that night and it finally calm down after 5am. I honestly wouldn't go back to this location. Staff was great though!

Nice and unassuming. Modern decor. A clean updated room with comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. Think IKEA in the mountains . The common area was nicely decorated and a nice place to gather. Free hot beverage station.

A great concept... in progress.
This is a an older, 1960s, motel that somebody is trying to make a hip event center. There are plans for more rooms, and a restaurant, I think. The outside is nice, the location convenient, at the north end of downtown Stowe. We passed through here, mostly just looking for a hotel, not the “Stowe Experience.” We chose T&C because it was pretty much the only room for less than $300 a night. The good: The concept is great, re-using and upgrading an older place. Check-in was fine, with good staff service in a nicely renovated lobby area. The room was HUGE, with a large bed and decent linens. linens. It was pretty quiet, despite being right next to the road (see below). Walking into town for food wasn’t bad, about .5 miles. The bath products were nice and the keyless check-in was kinda cool (you code in to open the lock). The bad: The room is WHITE. I’m talking Procol Harem/Randall McMurphy white. Like surreal white. Design is early-IKEA meets Goodwill. TV-tray nightstands, a used-looking dorm fridge placed next to the entry door. On the floor. A desk but no desk chair. Charitably, they are still working on the spaces, I expect, so perhaps this is still a work in progress. There was little or no art work on the walls, adding to the white on white theme. NO coffee in the room… you have to go down to the lobby (which mean you have to get dressed, like with shoes and everything). There is a little mini-market next door, on the highway, but other than that you are

Very basic but functional room, good mattress and clean. Good location (close enough to walk to Stowe 'downtown' and some restaurants but far enough to avoid the daily rush hour traffic backup from Stowe 'downtown'. To be clear, it's far from a luxury hotel but a solid choice for folks looking to take a shower a rest after a day of hiking.

This is where you stay when you book late during peak season. I had to go to Stowe last minute for work and of course everything was booked so I had to pay top price for a hostel room. That isn't really my issue though. What did bother me was the cheap way they constructed the room. The bed was too large so they only left you inches to get in it. The bathroom sink was about 8 inches deep and then they put a shelf right above it so you couldn't even brush your teeth. And the shower was the best. Instead of installing a shower pan for the floor, they just tiled the whole bathroom and glued some time type of rubber stripping to the floor to create the shower. There wasn't even any caulk under it so the water just leaked under it, flooding the whole bathroom. The shower curtain was also about 4 inches above the stripping so it didn't keep any water in. The only good thing I can say is that it seemed clean. Nice try but they missed the mark.

The rooms are comfortable and they were pretty quick to help us with sheets and towels. Every time I went to the office to ask a question or something, nobody was there. But you can call and ask. It’s close to town so that’s nice. There’s a loud bar next door that was boomin pretty late one of the nights.

I thought it was terrible that there wasn’t someone here after 6 on a Friday to check us in. This basic room didn’t have a decent chair to sit in, glasses to drink out of, one hanger. A bit pricey for what you get. Thank goodness the beds were clean.

I came here for a weekend getaway I can’t express enough how much I loved my stay here. To the cleanliness of the room, the amazing swimming pool, fire pit and adorable restaurant on site that looks like a camper. Not including how close it is to the town in Stowe and all activities right near it. I would highly recommend it and cannot wait to come back. If I could this place 10 stars I would!!

We had a great stay. There were just a few minor things. The AC has everything in the room feeling damp. Also, the bathtub is very slippery and the shower curtains looks like they aren’t changed from guest to guest as they were a bit brown on the bottom. Other than that, very safe and quiet.

This is a not $280 night hotel! Our room was 100ft away from a techno bar with an outdoor dj keeping up until 2am. Non stop bass thumping. Needless to say we did not get sleep. Stay far away from this place

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that the noise from the neighbor was too loud. There usually quiet as the doors are closed. They also close at 12am so we are not sure what you were hearing at 2am. We do have other hotel rooms that are not on this side of the property that are not near this bar if we had known we could have moved your room.

Checked in after 5 so there was nobody working in the office. Had absolutely no interaction with any staff. Was given a code to get into the room but when we got to the room the door was open, not just unlocked but ajar. Room is clean but super tiny. Very loud bible meeting out back was very distracting. Overall a very odd experience, so far. Haven’t slept yet so we’ll see how that goes.

They need to update their air conditioners, so noisey and really didnt cool room down. Also maybe a little insulation in the walls, music from somewhere played until after midnight.

Promotional photos are highly misleading, this is a much cheaper and shabbier hotel than it seems. Staying here was a very expensive mistake. The furniture is cheap and falling apart. The shower/tub had a major leak. The bed is rickety and the pillows were cube-shaped, nearly impossible to sleep on. Everything seems to be constructed in the cheapest way imaginable. The window shade pulls down over the air conditioner, which is inexplicably installed on the top part of the window. That means you can have either privacy or air conditioning, but you can't have both. At 2am, we were woken up by loud clomping from the people upstairs just walking normally. Apparently the floors are paper-thin too, so the noise was unavoidable. The only positive we can say is that the cleaning people work hard and the rooms are well-cleaned. Don't expect to be protected by the door locks either. Instead of a key, you get a gum-sized slip of paper with a 4-digit combo. That combo is based on the room number plus a constant number XX, so basically once you know those two digits you know how to unlock any room in the hotel, any time. We asked the front desk to move us several times to try to find a better room, but after the third room we just gave up. Our first room was placed in a terrible location, squeezed between a bar and the edge of the swimming pool. Thank goodness neither were open during our stay, otherwise the late-night noise would have been unbearable.

We are sorry you had a unpleasant stay with us.We did move you to a room next to your daughter as you requested because the room you were in was too far way from them and you wanted to be closer. With regards to the door code and the slip of paper you are given, those codes are changed after every check out. However to make the door lock combination easier for you to remember we kept the code similar to the previous room you were in.With regards to the bar its only open during the day for the pool during good weather so there was no need for concern.
