We arrived at CityLife Auckland at approximately 2:00pm. They advised that our room wasn't quite ready, but they gave us 3 drink vouchers for the bar for the inconvenience. That was very kind of them and not expected. We were very happy with our room and the location of the hotel can't be beat. We took the Airport Bus from the airport and the drop off point is right out in front of the hotel, which was great. Then for our return to the airport via the Bus, we only had to cross the road. The reason for our stay was to attend a concert at Vector Arena, and we were able to walk to the Arena which was an added bonus. It was only an easy 15 minute walk. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay again!
Large spacious hotel room with kitchenette and laundry facilities. Great views over Auckland and easy walk to the harbour and surrounds. The staff were very helpful and obliging. Some of the furniture needs updating but would happily stay again as everything else was so good.
This is a ideally located hotel in down town Auckland. Very sophisticated hotel and a great experience from check out to check in.
We arrived early and the receptionist was very helpful and friendly and our room was ready for us check in. The rooms were very spacious and well appointed.
Enjoyed our stay and the Crowne Plaza Auckland will be our preferred choice of hotel accommodation when staying in the Auckland CBD.
modern apartment very clean and tidy, modern appliances including full fridge, and washing machine, excellent kitchen fully equipped, easy walking about CBD, excellent view of skytower and harbour bridge (we were on the 25th floor), nice open plan kitchen, lounge area with separate bedroom. Couldn't fault it, only wished we could have stayed longer!, next time!!
I stayed as a solo traveler for three nights and loved it! I was greeted by Diana, who was so friendly and hospitable. I had the feeling that I wasn't staying at a hotel as much as a temporary home. Didn't eat there, but I did have some of their home-brewed beer (delicious!)
Fantastically cool building, over two-hundred years old and supposedly haunted. Everything was fairly up-to-date and comfortable. I was on the 4th floor so I didn't get any tavern noise and the street noise was minor. I slept really well all nights of my stay.
I am in my young 20s and fit, so climbing the stairs to my 4th floor room was no issue for me, although it's something to consider before you check in. I thought the stairs added to the experience and gave it a quaint feeling.
The only MINOR issue I found was that the shower drain was clogged. Again, if you're older or stiffer, this might bother you. The water just spilled out onto the bathroom floor and I pushed it into the drain with a spare towel when I was finished. Not a problem.
Overall, I'd gladly stay there again, I really enjoyed myself!
Hotel is right in the centre of Auckland with some really nice restaurants and bars close by. The staff were very friendly and and helpful and we got a free upgrade to a harbour view room.
The hotel is expensive but you get what you pay for and I'd definitely recommend paying the bit extra for a good view because it makes the room seem that much nicer.
