Slightly dated, cigarette burns in curtains/netting, no cold water in the room, options were hot or warm… no water pressure for the shower. All of the staff were wonderful, very polite, pleasant and all willing to help, only issue was there was no one on reception at checkout time

Hotel is completely non smoking so a guest has clearly broken the rules and smoked by the window to prevent the smoke detector being activated, causing this damage. Water temperature could be a stuck mixer valve, but more likely you need to run the water a little longer to get the cold feed, not reported at the time. Restaurant staff cover reception when un-manned.

Great Location
Booked this place as it was the cheapest bar far, the location is great as it’s right on the front. Shops are a 10 minute walk away and restaurants and pubs are all walkable aswell. The team are great and they organised me a taxi which was good of them. The rooms are a bit tired, I had the single bed room ax I was on my own. It’s simple with an en-suite. The restaurant does meals and they’re OK as it breakfast, again, it’s OK.

We have just returned from this hotel. Firstly the rooms are very old fashioned, we expected this from previous reviews and it was not a problem and the shower and sky tv didn't work very well. Over the road there is an extremely noisy bar which just looks like someone's front room, we cannot believe they got permission for this! The bar/restaurant has a stunning outside area where we sat for many hours watching the view having a drink. At first we thought this hotel bar was very expensive but after going to other places we found it is actually all expensive in Jersey and this hotel was probably the nicest place out of them all. The hotel owner was not very friendly at all...BUT the two guys working the bar were absolutely fantastic!!! The man from Bulgaria was just adorable and so very helpful (These 2 guys are probably a lot to do with why we always went back to our hotel for drinks rather than elsewhere). I hope the owner appreciates them. Our breakfast was not included but we could just go there every morning and pay...the English breakfast was huge and very nice, there was much more on our plates than the menu actually stated, 2 of most things instead of 1. On Friday and Saturday there were live bands which were actually really good, its a shame it didn't attract more of an audience. If we were to return to Jersey we would definitely go to this hotel rather than another one

Great trip
Had a good stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Nice location! Staff were friendly though there was one staff from the restaurant who was quite rude to us when we went for drinks.

The location is convenient with a nice view of the ocean. However the property is dated, the shower does not work well and leaked. There was no air condition in the room with eh temperature bing 90-100 F it was very uncomfortable. would not stay there again

The hotel was quite dated but that didn’t put us off. My only complaint really is the on suite was tiny with very little space to manoeuvre. Also the weather was very hot but the room had no air conditioning and no fan in the room. Had to sleep with the window open so it was quite noisy. The upside was the staff were absolutely lovely and the food and service were fabulous.

Room was fine bar the shower. The bathroom was ok but the shower had little pressure and there was no slip mat. The manager did try to fix the shower but to no avail No real close parking but managed to find 3 hour only spaces

Cheap and clean. Just needed a place to crash while attending a wedding, did the job. Lack of anything to hang on the door meant house cleaning staff came in while I was showering which was momentarily awkward. Worse for them than me I expect.

Good value hotel
Hotel location was perfect,directly on seafront and on bus route for a short 5 min ride to centre of St Helier.Room was fine,bed very comfortable,bathroom adequate.Breakfast was good,included in room rate,with a wide choice.Hotel also had a restaurant and provided entertainment although we did not sample these on our short visit.All in all a good hotel and good value.Will use next time in Jersey.

Breakfast was excellent but the room was quite small and there was no water pressure in the shower. The shelf that the telephone sat on needed re fixed to the wall. The hotel was quiet and friendly with entertainment available if so desired.

Didn't eat at the restaurant but it smelled very nice and was a nice setting right on the promenade. Everything else was poor. Nobody at reception to check me in or out, hotel was noisy and tired all over, no fan or AC in the room, the list goes on. Even in it's prime, which must have been the middle of the last century, this hotel would have peaked at average - but that was a long time ago.

Fantastic views across the bay and nice friendly staff. Personally, the thing to improve for me would be the shower - spent too much time using the taps to get the right temperate, so was a bit annoying, but great apart from that. Food was very tasty too. I would reccomend.

Breakfast with sea view excellent. What I didn't like was the noise from above our room which couldn't be resolved. Bit strange as we're told no room above us. ( Must have been ghosts or very large seagulls)

Our trip was great but the hotel is very tired. We chose it for its location which was near family we were visiting. The pictures of the view sold it to us but the bathroom was very poor. Hardly any water pressure- it gave a shower a new meaning! Also the bath was not clean at first we thought it was just old but on closer inspection we think it hadn’t been cleaned properly. The hotel website didn’t mention anything about having “entertainment” on a Friday and Saturday nights till 11.30 which was very loud I suppose some people might like it but it did make trying to go to sleep difficult. Breakfasts were good

Although dated the property is generally clean. Upon arrival i had to stand at the front desk for 10 kinutes before a member if staff arrived to check me in. No bell or call system available to allow you to make your presence made. My room was very basic with wardrobe, dresser, bed and bathroom. The mattress was extremely soft and could probably do with being slightly firmer. The bathroom was tiny abd the toilet situated between the bathtub and sink with not alot of room for a larger person like myself. The curtains stand quite far away from the windiw allowing alot of light to come in, when closing the curtains my hand came across something extremely sticky on them that actually tansferred onto my hand. I prepaid for breakfast when i booked, so first morning headed down to dining room and was given no istructions has to what i could, couldn't have. I had to ask another visitor. Although for a cheap and cheerful get away it was ok, there are many improvements that could be made.

a decent hotel in a good location.
Fairly basic hotel, not modern, but nor was it old fashioned or shabby. Rooms were clean, although I found the mattress a little hard. Great location on the sea front. Hotel only had a few guests, so it was quiet. I was out during the day anyway. Food was a good standard, both breakfast and evening meals.
