"Good quality hotel"
The rooms are very good, ours was not that big but the emphasis is on quality, fabrics, bedding mini bar, bathroom all top quality. It's not cheap but no more expensive than any other 4/5 star. Didn't like being charged to go to the bar for my own drink, even if you are informed of this(which I wasn't) but received a refund when I complained. The parking situation is first come first serve and there are few spaces but Expedia should inform people of this as the hotel does not imply that you will definitely get a free space. We will stay again though, it's a very cosy and friendly place, close to the centre and the Jericho area of oxford.

"Character hotel with excellent friendly service."
We stayed at the Randolph overnight as we were attending a function at the hotel. The General Manager and his staff provided excellent service, with splendid food and wine. We have received several complementary comments from members of our party attending the dinner.

"Tiny convenient hotel with ultra-helpful staff"
I only stayed one night but the receptionists were brilliant on arrival and checkout and with questions when I was there. The hotel mentioned in advance that a college ball across the road would be noisy and ofered earplugs! I left something behind in my room which was returned to me within a day with minimum fuss and maximum courtesy.

"Great stay, friendly staff"
The hotel is a traditional 17th century terrace so expect lots of character. I had a great stay here and found the staff to be very friendly. Breakfast was served at the adjoining cafe and was excellent.

I happened to stay in a reasonably large room at the backside where is quiet. Mind some rooms in this hotel are in irregular shape and could be quite small (also facing the street). You can ask the staff to give a good room otherwise...

"Best Prison Visit Ever!"
Loved the experience of sleeping in a cell, especially one as luxurious as these hotel rooms. Can't wait to come back. The history behind this amazing building and the ambience of a top class hotel shouldn't fit so neatly together but it certainly does!

"Really nice little guest house"
Really nice little guest house about 5 mins walk from the train station and 10 mins from city centre. It was clean, comfortable and service was very friendly. I will most probably stay again next time were in Oxford. We even had our own parking space but next time were going on the train.

"Conveniently located with everything you need"
I had a lovely stay at Mercure in 2014. The room was clean and comfortable. Although it's not terribly modern, it has everything you need and is more reasonably priced than comparable hotels in the area. Located on Merton Street just off the High Street, which is really convenient.
