Generally a good 5 night stay. Convenient location but have reservations about fire evacuation policy from 5th floor after a false alarm. Reported it to front desk and a potential big problem if they don’t action. 1a.m. Alarm went off rushed down nearest staircase as directed, past the kitchen ( most common place for fires to start) to reach ground floor, THE ESCAPE DOOR was locked!! We went down to the basement garage and the doors were locked. Eventually, we managed to reach the lobby when the door opened after the alarm stopped ringing. The night manager said nothing to worry about go back-so I spent the next few days trying to sleep worried about the hotel not worrying about my fire exit concerns. Otherwise, it was a good stay with wonderful helpful and very friendlystaff in a traditional style hotel. Breakfast was comfortable. Swimming pool was good and I believe the gym to be excellent but we never managed to use it (closed during siesta time). Location is walkable to train, ferries,buses and restaurants whilst not too noisy. The views from fifth floor rooms are great but the lift only goes to fourth and followed by two more flights of (service) stairs or a walk through the outside rooftop terrace with stunning views included.

I booked a specific room and was given a different room. Not the best value, it was very noisy at night. The pool area could use some serious upgrades as well. Wouldn’t stay again.

The crew at the front were helpful, but be advised there is no iron here and professional services have to be used to iron your clothes. Best gym in Italy I’ve used and good breakfast.

Wonderful property. We stayed in two different rooms as we did a tour group that ended at this hotel but then booked through Expedia for two extra days. The room from the tour group was very outdated and had a lot of issues like leaking sink and air conditioner from the ceiling. The room we had with Expedia was beautiful with a balcony. The pool area is amazing with tons of loungers and an area with a bar and full menu. It also has a gym which is not as common in the small hotels . It is about a 15 minute walk to the main square. So many options for food ranging in different prices. To get down to the sea it is about a 20-25 minute walk. The morning breakfast is well laid out with lots of options. I highly recommend the hotel.

Overall everything was very old and needed updating. Pool was disgusting we didn’t go in. Location was ok. We stayed at two other hotels on our vacation and both hotels were sooooo welcoming and friendly. Out of the three we stayed at this was the least welcoming. They upgraded our room after I complained about the one we had, which was very nice of them since the bathroom was very skeevy in the initial room. Overall do not recommend.

Dear anonymous, it sounds strange to us, luckly you are the only person who felt so uncomfortable here and this is the first bad comment ever we have about our pool - on your first comments you said reception staff was ok since they did their best to give you a free upgrade, but now you're saying they're not friendly (but if you check all the reviews, also on other online portals, all the clients consider our staff well prepared, polite and very friendly). You're still complaining about the 1st room you've got since it wasn't renewed but there's no rule that guarantee new rooms to the guest - moreover you booked a standard room and you first had a sea view room, than you had a free upgrade in a superior room, but you seem to be still unhappy, definitely there was nothing more we could do, so our suggestion for next time is to book the best rooms (superior, suites) and to call directly the hotel to be sure you requests can be fulfilled. Best regards

We had a great room on the toro floor overlooking the sea. it was very modern and comfortable. the staff were wonderful. The location was nice because it was a little bit away from the very busy Center but still close enough. Nice pool as well.

What makes this hotel is the staff. Always greeting you with a smile, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Room s comfortable and great to have a pool. This hotel is advertised as a four star but I would disagree Eg: hotel is a little tired, plastic cups in rooms and someone had fixed a wardrobe door in our room and drilling dust and screws were left behind in and not cleaned over our 4 night stay. I would definitely recommend we enjoyed our stay and it was comfortable.

The only problem was that our room was in the front of the hotel on a very busy street with loud traffic noise at night. Had to keep door and window closed which made it warm and no air circulation.

Great location. It is possible to walk into the centre of Sorrento in about 15-20 mins. There is also a free shuttle running through out the day. Great roof terrace. Views of Vesuvius.

LOCATION! A+ This hotel was perfect for our one night in Sorrento. We had a beautiful view as we were pretty high up. We walked down the cute alleys and maneuvered our way down to the main street with the sweeping views of the coast. Highly recommend. Breakfast was great and served in the restaurant. The restaurant AGO that was connected is also in NYC and was packed in the evening (we did not try for dinner).

Good place for a short stay.
We booked this hotel last minute after A chance of plans. The front desk staff was very nice, and our room was ready before check in. The location is good , a 10 minutes walk to the center of town. There are restaurants close to the hotel and laundromat 2 blocks away. Their parking is convenient - 1 block away. The complimentary breakfast was good with a nice selection. The room was small for 4 single beds. The pool was an added bonus and welcome after a long day of sight seeing. The bathroom was clean. Overall a good place for a short stay

Hotel from hell.
Far from the center. Limited transportation, taxi only at 25 euro each way to the center. I am not sure on what planet does this hotel would qualify for a single star. This is an old motel like place. Airconditions do not work at 29 c. I was told to sleep with windo open. By opening window, i was subjected to dust snd noise and a night without asleep. This is very bad and old hotel in need of much needed repair and serious cleaning. Shame on those who gave it a star let alone four.

Central Hotel.
Hotel is nice with friendly helpful staff. Approximately 10-15 min walk to centre. Good base if you don’t want to be right in the centre. You can hear some noise from traffic, (mostly occasional siren of emergency vehicles) as close to the main road. Rooms are fair size, beds are firm. Cleaned daily. Safe and small fridge in room. Good selection at breakfast. Free Wi-fi throughout our stay.

The room was old-fashioned and the bathroom was not clean. The noise from the street was unbearable especially the motorcycles and the sirens of emergency vehicles. Good breakfast. Nice reception staff.

A friendly 'no-frills' stay
Staff very friendly and helpful; my thanks to Elisabetta at reception who charged my phone daily for me! Room was very clean and a nice little verandah; no frills overall, but perfectly fine. The hotel location was a bit further out than I expected but the occasional shuttle bus to the centre was helpful. Wifi and aircon worked fine.

Great stay staff were amazing so helpful and welcoming especially Roberto and the shuttle drivers they were so kind. The restaurant staff were great and we realised we could order a cooked breakfast a few days in. The pool was very nice a lovely way to relax As it was so hot. Perfect hotel for a family holiday
The hotel is so welcoming with truly excellent staff . Friendly , helpful and knowledgeable. Read other reviews about noise and room being small . Had no issues with noise from the road as room was triple glazed and we found the room very comfortable even with 4 of us . The breakfast was excellent , with a brilliant choice of dishes and even bacon and scrambled eggs on offer . The pool are really makes this hotel special . An excellent space worth lot and lots of loungers so none was left looking for space . It was a really excellent holiday which was made all the better by this excellent hotel and staff . They even arranged our pick up back to the airport and organised an early breakfast (6am) when we left . We will be returning next year . As a point if reference we stayed at the Crown Plaza in New York earlier this year . The Central is much much better !

Only Hotel we could book a room for 4
We were stopping in Sorrento for one night on the way to Amalfi, with my wife and 2 teenage boys this was only hotel that offered a quadruple room. Hotel staff were friendly and hotel was generally clean, room was very small with 4 single beds and very hard beds They mention it's close to the square but it's a good 20 minute walk, a taxi was only 6 euro so no issue Pool is reasonable size, closes at 7 but offers nice side pool cocktails Overall a convenient one or maybe 2 night gateway but not really a 4 star.
