La Residencia remains an oasis of tranquillity surrounded by stunning scenery.
The team are as personable as ever ; and in general food quality good although pricey ...not sure the relocation of breakfast from San Fony to El Olivo is a success . On inclement days , queues built to be seated and it seems a shame that the area around San Fony was under utilised . Overall though a lovely relaxing visit and we can't wait to return .
as a group of 4 adult male walkers, we stayed april 2012 out of season and a warm welcome was waiting for us on arrival, the booking was all sorted and paid,
a much higher grade of hotel than our normal stay.
within minutes we were unpacked and taking in the stunning sea view.
the reception was well stocked with things to do, and the manager even dropped us off at a local restaurant on his way home, and arranged for a lift back, breakfast was good as well,

Stayed here for 3 nights August 26-29th. Highly recommend the staff as they were attentive to all our needs and then some. Food was good and location was excellent for Porto de Soller. We would definitely stay here again. Only downside is the twin beds pushed together which was uncomfortable, but manageable. Highly recommend. Thanks Louis and the blonde lady (sorry I can't remember your name) and all your staff. Made our stay very pleasant.
What a great little hotel in Soller. Beautiful boutique hotel in a peaceful mountain setting, A couple of easy blocks from the main square so very quiet yet convenient to everything. We had the smallest room which was still very spacious. The view of the mountains was gorgeous! So much so that we kept the windows open day and night -- we had a full moon stay so even in the middle of the night the view was there! All staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast included. We were on the third floor (no elevators) so if you have issues using stairs, you might want to get a lower level room.
We were going to rent a car to get around but found it not necessary for our short stay. Several small towns (Biniaraix and Fornalutx) are within walking distance and many hiking trails start in this area. We took a very exciting local bus ride to Deia and Valldemossa (streets are very curvy and narrow!) one day and the narrow gauge train to Palma another day (train depot is right in the main square). If you do rent a car, parking might be an issue.
