"What a nice place, very friendly staff, great food and facilities plus plenty of room."

"The Prince Rupert is peffectly located in the heart of the city, yet quiet and comfortable. The staff were perhaps the most friendly I have ever encountered as a whole team at any hotel ever. I also found that the hotel was very scentless - though very clean, they must use products without strong smells, which I appreciated as I have a reaction to scents. Just a very lovely stay overall! Our room #304 had the best balcony, and I would recommend requesting it when the weather is warmer. "

"Staff were great, hotel in general good. The amenities pool, workout area, showers left me cold. The treadmills are dusty, dirty, screens did not work and were nasty. The entire room needs a thorough clean. We had a wonderful family breakfast and it was wonderful. "

"I arrived tired and with a massive headace so I wasn't in the best of moods. Me and my young son went into our room which was really cosy. I lay on the bed having forgotten to bring paracetamol and felt awful. Then I heard a dog barking continuously in the room under ours. I let it go for ten minutes then had to ring reception. As I said I wasnt in the best of moods so I took my frustration out on the receptionist and asked to be moved away from the dog. I did immediately apologise, I know it wasnt her fault I just felt unwell and the dog was making it worse. The dog carried on for another 20 minutes or so then reception rang me back, they had found us a new room. I can't praise the hotel enough. It was spotlessly clean, the staff were amazing, the beds were so comfortable. I had an amazing sleep, and my headache had vanished, thank god! The breakfast the next morning was beautiful, everything there that you could possibly want, cereal, toast, croissants, fruit, the cooked breakfast were nice and hot, the coffee really smooth and plenty for my son as in the way of milk, fruit juices and water. I would definitely recommend this hotel. "

"Our second visit, a very nice standard of family room, enough but not too much with young kids. Great location perfect for a morning walk and between Wales and the midlands which we find useful. Very good staff efficient and welcoming."

"My brother & I decided to stay a 2nd night in Shrewsbury at short notice having stayed in the Premier Inn 200 yards down the road on the Thursday night. Premier Inn wanted £133 for the Friday night stay. Found The Alb on hotels.com which was half the price with added bonus with breakfast included. It was a budget twin room which perfectly suited our needs. Room was lovely & really warm ( unlike Premier Inn where i slept fully clothed under the duvet as the room was so cold ). Loads of tea & coffee sachets for our use. Room also had a mini fridge which was a nice surprise. Room was nice & clean. I had a full english breakfast which was superb. I would definitely check this place 1st next time we visit Shrewsbury. I would recommend it based on my experience."
