Beautiful buildings in a beautiful setting. Dining area was especially nice. But our room had several shortcomings--wifi was dpotty, shower not really functional & no handicap access

The check in system worked very well but extremely poor response to our trying to make dinner reservations. The reservations were to be made at the attached coffee shop but they were more concerned with serving the coffee customers and we were ignored for around 5 minutes- far longer than necessary!
A little like going back in time. No frills, but our room was quiet, clean, and had a gorgeous view. All staff was friendly. The restaurant and bar areas could use some improvement. It looks in general that they may be understaffed. Long lines for ordering to-go food. Food delivered to table was sometimes cold and sometimes not exactly what the menu described.
We loved our room, plenty of space for 2 people. Great view. The fan in the bathroom was very loud. The heat lamp with timer did not work properly.
We had 2 breakfasts and 1 dinner at the lodge. The food was delicious and the staff was efficient, personable and professional.
It snowed on our way up to the lodge our first evening. I understand that it’s tough to maintain the walkways during the snow. But they weren’t shoveled in the morning, and they were treacherous to walk on. Some handrails might have made it easier to get up and down from the Lodge to the Sequoia building.
