Room was ok but no aircon just a fan. Windows opened on to a noisy road. This went on all night. Shower had lots of mould on it. When we came back from breakfast the linen and towels for the next people were on the floor outside each room so no doubt ours had spent time on the floor too. Awful as people’s shoes may have been on it. Breakfast was poor. Stuff not topped up speedily. Coffee table chairs so low unusable and everyone cramped on benches. Orange juice machine out of service ( looked like had been for a while) so cheap carton juice used and just not the same. Limited choice of one meat ham ( no good if Muslim) and 2/3 cheeses. No tomatoes /cucumber and only orange and grapefruit in bowls. No whole apples or bananas. We bring our own coffee so can’t comment on that. Busy and stuff running out like eggs and bread. Toaster super slow and needed to be catering one as queue formed. Have spent time in Ibis Styles Nice and this one fell far shot

Generally good
general location and the hotel is good. Downside is that the shower cubical is far too small. Very good breakfast.

The view and breakfast was ok (continental, no hot meal) The staff was friendly enough but seriously old building with a small fan/no air conditioning. The shower was blocked and drainage was slower than the water coming out from the shower head. It was just a little bit far from the main street, but the public transportation was ok. You get what you pay I think, but not even worth.

Good stay
The stay went well nothing out of the ordinary the staff was helpful when needed. The only drawback I found was the paint chipping a bit in the bathroom due to the lack of a vent for condensation. The breakfast was good

Fabulous location and comfortable rooms
Great hotel with a fantastic location. A bit difficult to find though! Nice breakfast with a cool fresh orange juice machine :) Though there was no onsite parking, public parking was very convenient to the hotel, the cathedral, and all of the attractions in vieux Rouen.

Quircky nice hotel
This hotel is a bit confusing to visit, mainly because the streets in Rouen are non-linear and one street has more names. So it was a bit difficult to find. The receptionist was fabulous! Very good English speaking and helpful. The rooms are very small and so was the bathroom in our room. The door to the bathroom couldn’t open fully as it was stopped by the toilet. Plastic furniture in the room and only one chair (no space for more). Breakfast brilliant! Good quality and lots of choices.

This hotel has a good location but is certainly a budget hotel. The room was dusty , small and basic. Scaffolding around hotel so workman walk past your window so best to close curtains even on the third floor. Breakfast ok.

The staff were very efficient and the breakfasts good. We were pleased to be offered a rooftop room with balcony and a great view , looking east over the Seine and the heights above Rouen and which was very comfortable. The hotel is not deluxe, but is very conveniently located in the centre of Rouen near the Cathedral and the old centre and near a good underground car park. Worth every penny of the room price.

Close to old heart of this lovely city
Excellent situation for our overnight stay breaking our journey from the UK to Charente Maritime. Paid parking nearby and plenty of restaurants a short walk away just past the famous Gros Horloge. Near to the cathedral for the colourful summer evening light show. The breakfast room can get very busy at peak times and the lift is tiny, but I would stay again.

Ibis style Rouen not so stylish!
This hôtel is rather ordinary..clean with pleasant and attentive personal but offers more the decoration or style of a regular Hotel Ibis. Breakfast was ok on Sunday.. but kind of poor on Monday.. no eggs, no cold cuts, no fruit, no fruit salad.. l was a bit desapointed.

The hotel address takes you elsewhere by satnav. The add advertises parking, however, upon arrival the very nice man on the desk tells me that the advertisement is wrong. A kick of paint does its best to cover that this is an old hotel. Service is excellent with an reasonable breakfast but this should not warrant a 3 star rating. The room for two had 1 small bottle of water and a packet of Sweet's....a little strange to share

Rouen Normandy Northern France.
Good hotel on the river Seine and easy walk to old town. You can walk along the Seine and near Dock 76 there is a large shopping centre with nice restaurants nearby. Rouen is a beautiful city with loads of history, Joan of Arc was burned at the stake here. Very good museum telling her story. This city in Normandy well worth a visit.

Convenient, modern and friendly hotel
Good welcome, modern, well located for our needs and served our purpose well. Loved the friendly touches in reception to distract children mainly, but the bonbons went down a treat with we adults!! Good breakfast, though better to get down early at weekends as gets busy and queues for coffee machine etc but staff work hard to replenish! Small gripes: 1) have enough oranges for fresh juice each morning and 2) check the stairs for a couple of damaged edges. Otherwise all god for our needs! Nb better views the higher you are but open aspect from window was good. Thank you

Very basic no frills hotel, but convenient.
Room didn't look much like the photo. The space from the room into the bathroom (which was also the area one had to go in to open the room main door) was extremely small and quite difficult to navigate. Everything very basic - no bar, no outside seating and no frills - but overall okay with budget comfort and adequate facilities, providing the intention was to spend all day and all evening out and about. Location was very good for sightseeing and general shopping and right next to the river - albeit there was also a very busy main road next to the river so very noisy if window left open. Which was necessary as there was no air conditioning nor fan in the room so very warm day and night. Next time I would want to stay closer to the Cathedral in a hotel with more character and somewhere perhaps to sit outside and also away from the traffic.

wrong hotel name and lack of security
First of all the hotel name is not Coeur de City Hotel Rouen Cathedrale. It is Ibis Style. We had to go around the block and could not find the hotel with the name of Coeur de City. Paid for international roaming and finally found out on internet that it is the ibis we passed by 3 times. Secondly, Housekeeping came in with their key without knocking on the second day of our stay. I have locked the door from inside but it doesn't seem there is any point of doing so. We were about to go out so it wasn't an big issue. However when we return to the hotel few hours later I found my door opened! I just went in and it is obvious that the housekeeping lady has finished cleaning our room and went in another room already. No hotel staff was around at all! That means anyone could go into our room easily especially our room was the first one on the floor right next to the lift and facing the stairs. There isn't any CCTV that I can see in the corridor.We were lucky enough nothing was missing!

Heart of the City Hotel
The hotel is in the centre of the city; our room overlooked the River Seine. Good value bed and breakfast. Recently renovated to make the best of a sixties/seventies building. A good choice for a budget stay.

The hotel isn't at all what they show on the photo's. The room, especially the floor was so dirty. The shower is very small, definitely not for a pregnant person, I had great difficulty showering and I'm only 24 weeks pregnant so don't know how a fat person or someone who's 30 weeks or more pregnant fit in there. They also advertise it with wifi and there's no wifi in the rooms, only downstairs in reception.

... this hotel is superb value.
Location excellent, breakfast nothing special, lots of adjacent parking, friendly staff. Room was adequate - shower had come off the wall but still worked hand-held. A little worrying, when we logged on, was the response from Facebook that the free wi-fi offered by the hotel was "not trusted". However, all in all, we were completely satisfied as, given it's situation and the fact that all we were going to do was sleep there, this hotel is superb value.

The hotel is basic, but benefits from having convenient parking at its rear (which has to be paid for) and it is a very short walk to the magnificent cathedral. If you want a basic hotel experience, this hotel works fine. The breakfast was adequate, the rooms reasonable. Not great but not bad either.

not the best but good enough for a short break
The room was acceptable and served a purpose, but far from the best place I have stayed. The mattress was quite thin and too firm, and the pillow also too thin and far too soft offering no support at all. The desk was at a high level with a bar stool, very fashionable I'm sure, but not very suitable for any extended periods of work. Staff were very helpful, everyone I spoke to was conversent, if not fluent in English. Breakfast was buffet style, and offered Cheese, Ham, Breads and Croissants with various spreads, and a selection of yoghurts. There were oranges available for freshly squeezed juice. Worth getting there early so they don't run out of cheese! Being a City hotel, there is no dedicated parking. There is plenty of pay-and-display nearby, and most don't charge overnight. However; if you are driving from England in a RHD be wary, a lot of the parking is barrier entry and you will be sat on the wrong site of the car - roadside parking fills up very quickly. Would happily recommend to anyone who isn't driving, and only staying a short while, but if you are driving or spending a lot of time in the room there are better places out there - dedicated parking is a must!

Convenient but unattractive area
The room was absolutely fine for an overnight stay. It is clearly an old hotel that has been refurbished, this was obvious from the ancient radiator and pipes in the bathroom! Overall it was comfortable but the just outside our window was a rather noisy bar/pub which seemed to be open into the early hours.
