In the middle of Nature
I got off the autobahn and drove through Germany at its best! The fall colors were beautiful. This was late in the afternoon and again the next morning as I proceeded to Frankfurt Airport. Speaking of, the airport was a close 2-2 1/2 hours away! The hotel itself was quaint, the breakfast (though I did not participate as I needed to leave) looked and smelled great. This would be a very nice place to also stay at for a longer stay and walk around the area!

Very nice country-style hotel
I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and had a very nice experience. Facilities are clean and spacious. Wifi is free (and works), breakfast buffet is excellent and worth the 8 Euro. Parking is free. A car is advised. The owning family is around and very helpful, which gives the hotel a family atmosphere. Pets are welcome.

Quiet, relaxing in very pleasant surroundings
Staff went out of their way to get a room with a bathtub ready for us. Quiet and pleasing stay. Breakfast included and excellent. Good location, a short drive to charming Schmalkalden, a very historic town; or if you prefer to hike, and enjoy the outdoors then you just need to cross the street and strike out.

Very scenic drive to the hotel. Quiet .
The staff has very limited English but try to communicate with gestures. The person who may have been the owner was vary of us as Americans.

Urlaub mit Familienanschluss
Wir haben das Hotel als Zwischenübernachtung, vom Urlaub bis nach Hause, gewählt. Es liegt am Rande von Schmallenberg in der schönen Natur. Wir hatten ein schönes Zimmer mit Dachschräge, die allerdings nicht störte. Das Badezimmer war leider nicht auf dem neuesten Stand, aber sauber. Wir haben nach unserer Ankunft im Hotel im modernen Biergarten hervorragend gegessen und getrunken und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Für nächste Motorradtouren gab uns der Juniorchef (?) gute Tipps. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Wir haben uns gefreut, dass es u.a. hausgemachte Wurst gab.Hier waren auch die Seniorchefs zugegen und haben im selben Raum gefrühstückt wie wir. Also ein Hotel mit Familienanschluss! Was uns nicht gefallen hat: Beim Frühstück dröhnte fürcherlich das Transistorradio aus der Küche in den Frühstücksraum und die Chefin entnahm Wurst und Käse mit den Fingern aus der Auslage. Aber alles in allem waren wir sehr zufrieden und würden auch wiederkommen. Zu erwähnen ist vielleicht noch: Dass im Preis das Frühstück nicht enthalten und extra gezahlt werden muss geht nirgendwo eindeutig hervor - was uns bisher bei unseren Hotelübernachtungen noch nie passiert ist.

Die Seniorwirtin war sehr zuvorkommend, man fühlte sich gleich in die Familie integriert. Und das gemeinsame Grillen mit allen Gästen am Donnerstag Abend war echt Spitze. Und das bei dem Preis!

Ruhiges Hotel in Waldnähe
Wir haben hier nur einen Zwischenstopp auf einer längeren Reise gemacht, d.h. wir haben nur eine Nacht hier verbracht. Das Zimmer war sauber, das Mobiliar einfach und etwas abgenutzt, aber funktionell. Wir haben gut geschlafen. Das Frühstück (gegen Aufpreis) war einfach, der Kaffee gut.

Der Ausflug zur Landesgartenschau endete mit einem perfekten Abend im Restaurant und ausgezeichneter Übernachtung in landschaftlicher Idylle. Perfekter Service im Hotel.

Hübsch und ruhig gelegenes Familienhotel
Wir waren von dem freundlichen und zuvorkommenden Personal sehr begeistert. Die Familie Jäger führt ein gemütliches Hotel, das keine Wünsche offen lässt. Das Essen ist hervorragend!
