This hotel is in an ideal position, within walking distance to many of the attractions Vienna has to offer and with an underground station just outside the hotel easy to get to any destination.
Our room, on the 5th floor, was excellent, very large and very nicely furnished with a large amount of storage and a very good bathroom. It was somewhat warm and we had the windows open for our entire stay otherwise very comfortable. Do ask for extra pillows as they are soewhat thin, unless you like laying flat!
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast staff excellent. Breakfast was very good with a wide choice but unless it is included in the price of your booking is very expensive.
The Starlight provided very comfortable accommodations for my wife and me during week long visits to Budapest in the summer of 2013 and 2014 while I was a visiting faculty member at the nearby Central European University. The large apartment with separate bedroom and living room is ideal for work and leisure. The location is also perfect for exploratory walks throughout downtown Budapest. Everything about the hotel is excellent - comfortable rooms, good buffet breakfast, reliable WiFi and an extremely helpful staff who speak English.

The breakfast was excellent. Had a nice stay at the Das Tigra. The location was accessible to public transactions and all of the sites within Vienna. Comfortable room. I was very pleased with my stay. The staff were extremely helpful.
It's right in the heart of the city with Cafe Central (an amazing and historical place for food and dessert) literally 20 feet away. You can walk anywhere. The rooms were comfortable with heated marble floors in the bathroom. We had a hard time figuring out how to make the room a little colder, the setting wouldn't go below 19.5.
We arrived very tired after our flight and were greeted warmly and best of all were upgraded to a higher level of room as there was nothing available at what we'd booked at. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was very modern with all the amenities. The hotel was clean and well kept. We had dinner in the restaurant and the service and food was excellent. We spent some time in the bar and once again service was excellent. Two gentlemen entertained us for part of the evening with some light jazz.
I stayed four nights in August 2013:
- Five minutes walk to U-Bahn Schottenring. Access is then easy to all the sites using the excellent public transportation system.
- Small room, but when on vacation, the room is only used for sleeping
- Very quiet at night
- No air conditioning. Might be a problem during very hot periods. Wasn't the case during my stay.
- Lots of choice for the included breakfast

The check in process was quick taking us to our room and showing us how to use the extra key to the outside door. I thought it was a very safe area. Certainly an easy walk to cafes and attractions in addition to busses and trams. Our room was very peaceful and perfect for the 3 of us girls! I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

I stayed here for 3 nights with my son on our first trip to Vienna. The location is great, a 5 minute walk to the Ubahn station and walking distance to all the Old Town sights. The room was very big for European standards and clean. The included breakfast was good, nothing fancy, but enough choices. I would add some flavored yogurts in addition to plain and low fat milk as well as full fat milk. But that's just my preference and what they have is perfectly adequate. The best part about the hotel is the great staff. I'm sorry I cant remember the name of the oing lady that was there during our stay because she really went out of her way to help us in so many ways, printing out boarding passes, translating ticket pick up info etc. The hotel is easy to find if you have the address and a simple map. I would recommend emailing them ahead of time to get instructions on how to enter the building and get your keys if it's after hours. I will definitely be back!
