Firstly, the good: staff were all very pleasant and helpful, food in the restaurant, dinner and breakfast were all good, although the dinner was a little on the expensive side, the location was good, there was plenty of parking, the common areas of the hotel were all friendly and well furnished.
Then the not so good: the room we had, was a basic room and was advertised as such but really for anyone over 5 feet, you're constantly banging your head on the ceiling as the room was in the roof attic space. The tiny shower cubicle with a fixed shower head which was lower than my head was impossible to use. The room also didn’t really smell too clean, fortunately there was a sky light in the sloping roof to enable us to get some fresh air. Finally, and again this was advertised as a pet friendly hotel. I personally do not think pets ever belong in areas serving food.
So in conclusion, if you love dogs and are not very tall this is the hotel for you. Otherwise I’d find somewhere else to stay.
