Trunk Road Motel is conveniently located on my route to the next destination. It's very reasonably priced; clean and well kept. The room is a bit small but quite sufficient for a restful night's sleep and a hot shower.

The room had a odd smell but the owner seemed pretty cool, he gave me a fresh cold water when i got there. He also has a doggy super friendly and playful! ❤️ Thank you.

This was the best motel I've ever stayed at. The service was great (staff salted my parking spot before I got there, phoned ahead to see if I was going to make the 10PM check-in deadline, was friendly and helpful, and provided a complimentary water bottle). My room was clean and well-maintained to the point where appliances seemed new and facilities appeared newly-renovated. All expected amenities were present (coffee maker, microwave, towels, shampoo & conditioner, soap, etc). A menu of The Roadhouse restaurant next door was conveniently on a countertop. You could tell the staff put extra care into providing excellent service. I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at the Trunk Road Motel for 2 nights while in town for a funeral. Normally I wouldn't book at a motel but there was nothing else available. Check in was quick and easy, very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean, and surprisingly quiet. I am a VERY light sleeper and was certain that I would get woken up very early each day...there is a dog that barks a bit in the morning but it wasn't super early, and I was surprised to not be woken up by other guests leaving their rooms, getting in their cars etc. Would definitely stay here again without hesitation!

Good except for housekeeping employee
1 complaint: Housekeeping employee unlocked and entered my room without knocking or announcing her presence. I was getting dressed and demanded she immediately leave my room as she just stood there. No apology or explanation given. My car was parked in front of the door in the designated spot for that room. I went to motel manager/owner who apologized. He was very pleasant and kind but his employee was just awful. Otherwise good experience and I’d stay again.
