All the hotel workers were really kind and ready to help us with everything we needed. But, there were little issues: first, the room was too small and during the first shower I took a bad smell like sewage came out of the pipe, so as a temporary solution for one night they gave us a really good suite room, but early by the morning we had to move to another one that was not clean yet, so we had to left all our luggage saved at the front desk. When we came back by 7:00 pm the receptionist attended another group, but we came first. Then, we had to complain about that and finally moved to our final room that was really good and spacious. Another bad thing is the "DJ" at the pool. The music is so loud, that guy plays with the volume all the time, and is impossible to have a relaxing time at the pool if he is there. Please keep the pool with no music or adjust the volume to a permanent rational level. Recommendation: If you go to Park Hotel first ask for checking the room and try the sink and shower. They have good rooms, but occasionally don't give the best ones.

I don't understand the 8.6 satisfaction ratio
I was surprised at how substandard my room was as compared to other I happened to look into that were being cleaned. No hot water and very low pressure. The pool area was beautiful and the desk staff all nice. I don't feel they put me in a very nice room and I am not sure why. I assumed perhaps they were all the same but there were better rooms. This is a very old hotel and although on the beach access blocked during my stay without walki a large distance around the fenced area. It looks like it will be done soon. Bed was very comfortable.

Park hotel Santa Marta
Nice hotel in the center of the city by the beach. Staff are friendly. It is a basic hotel, but safe. Many restaurants within walking distance. View from top balconies is panoramic to the beach and main road.

Worst stay ever !
We walked by the hotel and the guy showed us a room the looked good when we. Smr back to check in they gave us a completely different room. Right from the beginning we felt Luke the air conditioning wasn’t working to good but the guy at the front desk assured us that it will definitely cool down later on. (Very important thing for a 90 degree wether city ) A few hours later room was still warm actually warmer then outside !! We went to complain and they said no problem we will send someone to fix it. We left the room and came back a few hours later at night the guy said he sent someone and it is now fixed, we walked in to the room and it was hot !! We couldn’t sleep all night one of the worst experiences ever at a hotel.

This hotel is the best option in Santa marta. Awesome view, huge rooms, good breakfast and a great rate. This is the to go hotel in SM. The room was great and quiet. You can see the sunset the beach right across the street

The truth Park hotel and Santa Marta
Basic motel like. No hot water to take a shower. Swimming pool in my house better and bigger than this. Bed very hard. Breakfast very basic not too many options. Soap tiny for just one shower, do not expect shampoo or body lotion just the tiny soap. Great location, just cross the street and you are walking by the ocean. I would not enter the water though. The sand is really dark and the ocean seems dirty. Around the Park hotel Nice restaurants and great seafood, beautiful view. Get your own clean water to brush your teeth. Lot of beggars asking for something and the tourists from Germany and Europe don’t give to the poor but Americans with good hearts will give something. Except for me, I did not meet any from the U.S. Sad!

Neat Location!
Park Hotel's location is fantastic with the beach just a couple of meters away from it. The personnel at the main desk are well trained and always ready to help you out with whatever questions or needs you may have. However, the building itself needs maintenance. The showers, for instance, do not have enough pressure and there is not a lift which makes access difficult especially for the elderly and handicapped people.

Amazing location
Great location right on the beach. The hotel is nice and cheap for what you need. If your out all day on the beach or touring and you just want a comfy bed and a telly to come back too. The staff our really helpful. It's also right next to some really great cocktail bars and restaurants that sell pasta which I it really tasty. The room is clean but not spotless however it depends on what you want out of the stay. Me and my boyfriend enjoyed out stay and I would go back. Breakfast is basic- eggs and arepas. Make sure you eat as the restaurants don't open till twelve for lunch. The location of the hotel really outweighs anything to be honest. If your travelling or backpacking thus hotel is perfect

first the plus,encounters with 4 staff members was above average in service and care, i paid for a superior room and it consisted of an old style tv, peeling paint hanging down in the bathroom in plate sized pieces... door handle and lock was an old style surface mounted type with NO INSIDE LOCK OR SAFETY CHAIN. all plants in lobby and on other floors were dying from lack of water and were bone dry of water, piles of bird droppings in hallway... way way overpriced at $80.. beach in front of hotel was covered in garbage, street people sleeping on the beach in front of the hotel and human excrement seen....never again

Vero bad hotel. I tried to used the bathroom in the lobby and it was so dirty and auwful. I had to wait until they gave me the room in order to used the bathroom. Some of the staff don't really like to work there. Breakfast was coffee , eggs and slice bread. You take it or leave it. no other choices.. They should have some fresh fruit and options for the guess.. I have to go buy my own breakfast next door.

Internet promotion low price is a hook. It turns out cost is higher than promoted. Mattress covers were ripped and cleaning is not scheduled at specific time. Promo indicates breakfast is included which is not the case. We were not given a tour or orientation regarding facilities available to guests at hotel. Restaurant only served one cup of coffee, which was very light. Not much of a choice of food. Totally misleading advertisement.

Il posto peggiore dove andare
Arrivato in questa struttura (prenotata dall'italia per una settimana )ci riceve una ragazzina solito iter documenti e poi ci dà la chiave della stanza, entriamo io con la mia compagna e vediamo un'ambiente desolante. La stanza ha una unica presa elettrica c'è un unico comodino, bagno con un micro lavabo tutto storto e senza appoggi per rasoio dentifricio ecc.ecc.doccia piena di calcare e Dulcis in fungo senza acqua calda Morale ho prenotato immediatamente in un altro posto e siamo stati benissimo.

Good place! Great location
Nothing fancy but everything is fine. All the staff very nice, the room was ordinary but clean and comfortable with AC and fridge. The breakfast was good. There is coffee, juice and fruits. Amd they offer you to make you eggs how you like (scrambled with tomatoes and onion is good) or a sandwich. And it comes with arepas and a little bread. The location is GREAT! Right in front of the beach, 1 block from el parque de los novios where are all the restaurants etc, but even that, I didn’t hear the boom boom noise music to my room so that’s good. The area is safe. I liked the pool too it was quiet. The price was good 42$CA. Lots of very positives aspects. I recommend it.

No lo recomiendo!
A pesar de tener una buena ubicación(frente al mar), esperaba más del hotel, además que NO es barato. Las habitaciones limpias pero viejas no son acogedoras, el baño muy regular. El comedor y el desayuno, nada que ver sin mayores opciones. El servicio de piscina es solo hasta la 6 pm(absurdo ese horario). No regresare a ese hotel.
