We are sorry that you had trouble figuring out our smart door lock system. I wish you had notified us as we have physical keys in the house for those who prefer as noted in the guest information document. We have a pet charge as clearly stated on our reservation page, so we updated the charge accordingly upon your checkout. We also expect our guests to take their pets out for potty or handle their needs properly indoor when it rains outdoor. There were quite some additional cleaning needed and damage to towels provided. We would like all guests to treat our place like their own home since this is our personal home and not a hotel. We unfortunately found the place in disarray.

Hi Michael, thanks for staying with us. I was very pleased to know you liked our book collection and enjoyed your stay when you called me after your check-out to apologize for not following the check-out instructions and forgetting to lock the door. It wasn’t a big problem as our cleaner arrived shortly after. We do keep our backyard in a natural growing state without pesticides or chemicals to keep it safe for pets staying with us. I will make sure to add a note moving forward. Regarding the ice maker, we do not have ice maker listed as an amenity for our property, so I’m sorry if you came with a different expectation.
