"We love staying in historic hotels and The Santa Barbara Hotel is one of our favorites. The location on State Street is perfect. The rooms are on the small side, but are very comfortable. The hotel has recently been renovated and is very nice."
"The inn is not really “at the harbor”, but it is very quiet and well kept. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good — oatmeal, yogurt, little frittatas, etc. We did not use the pool, but many guests enjoyed it. The landscaping is beautiful."
"Nice hotel. My room had a patio with slider.
Walking distance to water and downtown.
Complimentary breakfast was good and coffee is offered until midnight."
"There was 1 staff at check in. It was super slow on a Saturday afternoon. The rooms are clean. The vents in the dinning room were dusty. You can see it. Obvious areas were clean, but some areas were not. The pool was nice. Pretty expensive for a pretty old hotel. The hallways were old looking. Bummed I didn’t get my fire pit patio room bc the fire pit was down. Was upgraded and compensated with free breakfast, but still. Wasn’t as exciting as I hoped."
"The bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in. One criticism: Shower needs a safety bar installed because there is nothing to hold on to and the floor is slippery when wet. Older folks like us need that."
