I love the pool, the building are well kept, the only problem I had was my bed was too hard and I was unable to get a good night rest. I did ask about a softer mattress but the hotel was unable to accommodate me.

I love that the staff had fresh coffee brewed by 5am every morning. And very good and strong coffee! When you head out for a tour at 7am you'll thank them every time! The rooftop balconies are amazing for hanging out when you've need a break from your room's AC. A perfect stay! Thank you Maya Bella!

This property is centrally located in San Ignacio. 3 very good restaurants within a couple of minute walk. Swimming pool on the roof is really great on a hot day. This was our second stay here and we would definitely go back.

This was the perfect location for us downtown San Ignacio. We had a vehicle, so the fact they had a parking lot was a big selling factor for us. There is only 6 or 7 spots, but we never had to park elsewhere. There’s coffee made in the morning in the lobby, the option for tea, and fresh bananas which we enjoyed. Also water stations in the lobby to refill your water bottles. The hotel is also able to do your laundry if needed and you’re a backpacker like we were. Cost was average compared to other places in the area. Roof top patio area and pool was a nice area to sit and relax. There’s tons of good restaurants within walking distance. And several day trip tour businesses just down the street.

Great location in the center of San Ignacio
When rating hotels you have to keep in mind that everything is relative. The Maya Bella is not a resort. It is a conveniently located hotel in the center of town with convenient parking on the bottom level of the hotel and 24 hour front desk personnel. It's secure, convenient and comfortable.

The parking garage was very, very tight for a larger vehicle. Coffee in morning was limited but good when it was available. Water was always available to fill your own water bottles. Bed was soft, room, clean, pool wonderful! Would stay again.

It’s the middle of town. Everything is right there. The pool and rooftop were nice at the end of the tours. The room was good. Ac, hot water. Nice, new, large.

The room looked immaculate, and the service was great, but our pillowcases smelled musky so either they were dirty or way too much detergent was used.

I had a spacious room on the second floor, booked 4 nights Sunday to Thursday end of March 2023. Burns avenue was not busy, very quiet, lots of restaurants were not open Sunday and Monday. Very easy to book excursions for Tikal and the Caves directly on Burns Avenue, I recommend booking with Sergio at Explore Inland Tours. Hotel is walking distance from Green Iguana Conservation Project, the chocolate workshop and Maya ruins Cahal Pech (to of the hill). Staff very friendly, pool is always clean and in good condition, great to relax after a hot day. Hotel provides pool towels at reception. Bed and pillows are comfortable, AC works like a charm. Safe area, loved it.

Lovely staff. Location was great. No fridge as promised, one of the lights was out due to electrical issue and the hotel could use an upgrade for the money. Nice to have the pool and parking, for sure!

Spacious room and soft bedding. The location cant be beat since it is right downtown. The only issue for me was the AC smelled like strong mildew when I turned it on, to the point I had to turn it off so I wouldnt get sick. I would recommend management schedule the AC unit filters and blowers to be cleaned. But other than that, it is a decent stay.

The staff at Maya Bella were so helpful in directing us to good local restaurants and sights close to the hotel. They also helped us connect with a local independent driver who was so helpful, upfront about expenses, and also arranged our sidetrip to Guatemala. The hotel itself is not fancy but took care of our needs quite well.
