The hotel staff were kind and friendly. They were quick to answer all questions and solve any problems. The hotel itself is clean on the surface and housekeepers clean daily. However, it could use a deep clean and some updating. The room I stayed in was quite small. This was completely ok, as I did not spend much time in the room. However, due to the size of the room, any time I showered, the room became unbearably humid. I would suggest improving the ventilation/fan.
The neighborhood surrounding the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. It is right on the edge of a neighborhood that clearly has an issue with homelessness and drug use. While this does not inherently make a neighborhood unsafe, I did hear about 10 gunshots one night. This caused me to feel unsafe walking alone and unsafe being outside at all after dark. This is not the fault of the hotel, as they do their best to keep the entrance secure, but it should be considered when choosing where to stay.
