Area was good nice and safe. The building I noticed it was older the AC didn’t work and our lights kept turning on and off. Overal good price staff was nice.

walls are SUPER thin - was woken up 3 days in a row with shower turning on in the adjacent room. The "gym" was maybe a 10x15 foot room with hardly anything. Dumbbells up to 30 lbs. Some of the attachments they had were broken. 1 bike and 1 treadmill. overall experience was old, and out of date. The bed was comfy, as were the pillows - so, they got that going for them

The rooms are a bit small. I literally hit my head on the tower racks in the bathroom every single day. Otherwise, it is an excellent location if you have an event at the Moscone Center. Affordable and close to shopping, restaurants, and lounges. I will come back here the next time I go to an event downtown.

Great staff!!!! Everyone was really friendly and helpful. The area around the property is really sketchy, especially at night time, with aggressive homeless people asking for money and seeing people urinate and use dugs on the side of the street. I was woken up to a fire alarm the second night that lasted 30 min until the fire dept showed up; was woken up be police or fire trucks every day/night. My bathroom had cracked ceilings and bath tub, not a major issue but the property can use an upgrade. My next SF trip, I will look for a hotel closer to union square.

For the price the hotel was adequate and the stay was fine but I wouldn't stay again. The hotel has a more dated feel than the pictures. The bathroom was tiny, the electrical outlet on the lamps on the desk and nightstand did not work. Also seeing a homeless woman urinating outside the hotel's door was a new experience. With that said the homeless situation is all over the city and unavoidable regardless of the hotel you choose.

Avoid this place if you plan to use the internet in the evenings. Speeds drop to usable (e.g. .1 Megabit). You won't be able to send emails. You won't be able to stream movies. You won't be able to surf the web. This happened all four nights I was there. The front desk said, "Oh, that's because everyone is using it." Duh! Apparently management has decided to not spend the money to provide 21st century internet. Go somewhere else where they respect their guests. Shout-out to Oliver who had Doordash leave my order outside my room rather than in the lobby. Why don't all the front desk people do that?

This is not some amazing, gorgeous, spacious hotel, but it's charming, safe, and quiet. It's a 3-4 minute walk away from Market Street, which means that public transportation and good food abound. The Wi-fi was great and hotel staff was kind. If you want to stay somewhere simple and easy to stay, this is the place.

They make you feel like a guest, not a reservation
All of the staff members that I encountered during my stay were helpful and friendly. Especially the desk clerk when I checked out and the manager when I picked up my luggage before I left the hotel. My friend stayed at the Marriott but was with me when I checked out and even said she was thinking of staying here next time after interacting with the manager. I did experience a small delay when I arrived because the desk clerk was on their break however I checked in on Thanksgiving night so it being a holiday I can understand not having more than one desk clerk on and it just was a timing thing. Not a big deal. Plenty of restaurants very close by, including in The hotel. The cooling system baffled me a little bit but that was on me for not asking. The rooms were nicely appointed, the bedding was comfortable and clean. There was a used K-Cup in the Keurig and there was water in the ice bucket when I went to use it but other than that everything in the room had been freshened. The lobby is kept locked and you have to have your key to get in which is nice and secure. It was walking distance to where my event was being held which was also very convenient. I would definitely stay here again probably next year when I attend the same event the price was right, valet parking was reasonable especially compared to the hotel my friend stayed at, it was half of her hotel. And if you're just in town to see the sites of San Francisco it's also a great location

We have stayed at the pickwick before, and this time they were just several things with the room that were less than ideal. The phone wouldn’t connect to the front desk or other rooms. The nightstand between the beds had a top door that kept sliding open and there were several stains on the top of the nightstand. I should have looked closer at the descriptions as we needed grab bars in the bathroom for someone in our party. There are absolutely no grab bars in regular rooms so just be aware. The front desk staff were super nice and tried to do what they could to help, but the hotel was full, also the restaurant attached to the hotel had wonderful appetizers

we checked in for fifteen minutes the pictures didn't match the room. when you open the door it barely misses the bed. the area is extremely unsafe there were several people laying or sitting in front. As we walked up the stairs a man came out of his room and was watching us he was very sweaty and had big eyes. we only stayed in the room for fifteen minutes and waited downstairs to check out for an extremely long time because nobody was at the counter. I asked for a refund they said I had to message the manager and he also denied me a refund he didn't even give a reason. he just said your request for a refund was denied
