The place is undergoing some substantial remodeling, the smell is bad. Otherwise, it is a good place to stay. I may come back to check it out after the remodeling is done.

Skip at the front desk is phenomenal. A true people person who welcomed us each time we came through. The property is under construction, weird smells, definitely needs the upgrade. I didn’t know it was going to be under construction and we couldn’t even use the bathroom downstairs while waiting for our room. Skip did his best to help us out though.

Construction in progress but signage poor. Nothing mentioned on the website. Shower in the room was leaking/not diverting, showerhead clogged, bathroom fan was misaligned. Loved the kitchenette and appliances. TV was way too big for the room size. Nice space for king room.

Nice staff and took us in a bit earlier, which we were grateful being wet from rain. Rooms were not as clean as we hoped , toilet was peeling and old, microwave was dusty and burned marks. Layout was great and spacious. Perfect place if cleanliness was better, at least for our room.

Hotel is under construction... wish I would have known before I booked. My room was updated but the areas near my room and elevator are in construction mode and look bad. The breakfast buffet is very limited. They also charge $10 per day to park in their open lot which is unnecessary.

The property is going through major renovations which made for a less than clean environment. I rented a suite for me and my 4 kids and it was fine but not exceptional for the price charged. I asked the front desk for a vaccum every day because I have small children and every time the vaccum was poor shape had electrical tape and kept shorting out. I finally gave up and did my best then they tried to charge me $85 cleaning fee for not vacuuming even though we cleaned everything else. Luckily the manager knew I had requested the vaccum so he put it together and removed the charge. I would rent again but not for more than 2 nights. The entire stay felt very low budget and underwhelming.

Location of the property is excellent. The personnel is friendly and the level of service is good. The property is undergoing active construction and some parts are a mess. The other thing that is unclear is that they charge $10 a day for parking. I'd rather they advertise the higher room prices than present guests with an unpleasant extra charge. This caused me to knock off a star.

Although it was under Construction, it will be a little Gem of a Place. I could easily see them putting a fine dining experience in it or a Grill/bar. It has charm and potential.

Booked a night for a concert at petco park. Drive was only 16 minutes prior to the concert and 22 minutes after. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations which we did not mind at all. The room was updated, clean, spacious and just what we needed for a nights stay. If you are planning a longer stay this hotel would be perfect!

As I entered there was major renovation going on in the lobby/ dining area...I had no advance notice of this. I had hoped to do some work while I waited on check in but was told I could go to the starbucks nearby. The room itself was truly beautiful and clean. I needed help turning down the cool blowing ac/ thermostat but no one ever showed up...I did figure it out myself the next morning. It could have been a quick easy fix with a phone conversation. Complimentary breakfast is appreciated but held in the doorway right when guests enter - no tables to sit at so guests had to take trays to their room. A discount rate would have been appreciated.

When hotels are going through major renovations, and most of the amenities are not available it is way dishonest to market on their website all these amenities are here and show you pictures of things that don’t exist. Then a check in they ask for your forgiveness and offer literally nothing. Would never stay at this property or a property like this again

Overall I had a good stay but I wish I would know the property is under remodeling that made it a little bit uncomfortable but thank for the excellent & friendly staff they made it a bit easier. The front door of the lobby was closed and I could see the construction workers but nothing was there to tell me that the entrance to the building is temporarily on the other side so I had to load my car again and drive to where I guessed the entrance is. A small sign would be very helpful. The temporary reception relocated to the gym area where they also served the grab and go breakfast. So I was a bit disappointed I couldn’t work out. One elevator was out of order out of 2 orders and some time you had to wait for the elevator. Bottom line is that I'm sure it's a good place to stay with good dining and shopping area closed by just the construction in the property was a bit annoying.

They should have disclosed more on what does under construction mean. All they said was that it will be a bit noisy but nothing more. Well, there is much more. There is no room service, meaning when I tried to call no one would answer and I would have to go to the reception. As for the breakfast, well, in no where it says that it is a grab and go due to construction with no proper place to have breakfast. All that is not justified as it was not disclosed and the property is described different and the pictures don’t match the condition in anyway. I don’t feel like this was a good experience at all. I don’t like the fact that I feel like I was tricked into booking this deal. NOT AS DESCRIBED.

Not very impressed
Reserved a Queen room but when got there they said they were out of queen and offered me a double. After insisting that I had a reservation and paid in advance, I was offered a king. I found out the hotel was under major renovation after I had already reserved and paid for the room. Door handle to the room was in poor condition and was difficult to open. Shower head had major leak. Stayed there for 3 days, room was never cleaned or bed turned. Room was clean but pillows were not comfortable. Hallways and elevators were not clean but that could be because of construction. My room was across from a car wash with loud vacuum cleaners running from early in the AM till late PM. Overall was disappointed with this facility.

It was a mess since they were renovating the whole place, dust everywhere when we arrived, dogs in the rooms that were very nosiy at night. Had to call the front desk several time about the noice.

Stay away - entire hotel is a construction area... Construction dust is everywhere - including rooms they say are ready. Requested different room that was ADA compliant and was told it would be available. However they'll make excuses and then fail to get you one. Room providedb has 2 feet between bed and wall to get to bathroom.. any room on north side - there is a car wash that runs nearly.all.night causing loud blowers to run. There's better sonesta es in SD - this one is extremely bad!
