5/5 Excellent
Perfect one night stay on way south
"Lovely one night stay on the way from Calais to the south of France. We were three adults in a triple room and there was plenty of room. The third bed was a proper single bed and perfect for our six foot son.
Reception staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. "

2/5 Poor
Great 1980’s Themed hotel!
"This hotel needs to be moved into the 21st century. The initial view of the hotel from the outside is good, but that’s about all that is good about it. You struggle to find the entrance to Reception, when checking in you are given your room key that doubles up as a weapon thanks to the size and weight of the keyring. The lift was not working so cannot comment on that but the carpet on the stairs has to be at least 30 years old, so thread bare and worn (seen better carpet in derelict properties). The room… well the positive thing is size. It’s bigger than your average hotel room. And that’s it. The bathroom has a bath with shower attachment but no shower head holder or curtain and it is unsafe to stand in the bath. The bath is also only at a guess 1400mm in length. Towels thin small and maybe only a few years newer than the carpets! And to really show its age, a bidet takes centre stage right by the bathroom door. Now on to the beds… I have had better nights sleep in the woods laying on twigs, roots and rocks. The double sagged to the middle and the single mattress was so thin I am sure if you held it up to the window you could see light through it. Breakfast was mediocre at best. Small selection of bread, croissant, cheese and cold meat, a bowl of ice cold hard boiled eggs that had been over cooked. Fruit bowl and small selection of cereal. The coffee was okay out of a machine. So if you fancy a trip back to the 1980’s then this is the hotel for you!"
