Clean and comfy
It was a lovely place to stay....clean and very comfortable. There is not alot to do in the area except the beach BUT....if Ruakaka is your destination, this is the place to stay!

This was our first time using a vrbo, going to our daughter's wedding in the local area. Carol & Gordon our hosts were great, always keeping us up-to-date as our trip got closer, and promptly responded to our emails. We were totally impressed /surprised when they invited us to their own home for a "home cooked meal ". Carol /Gordie your amazing hosts. The BnB is centrally located in Ruakaka, close to shops, the beach, lots of pubs/restaurants for your dining pleasure. The park like atmosphere of the BnB backyard was wonderful both morning and afternoon relaxing with a coffee or a glass of wine. We would/will definitely have to make a return trip. Thanks again for dinner!

Little slice of paradise
We absolutely loved our stay in Ruakākā and the accommodation was perfect for us. Very clean and tidy, it had everything we needed and it made for a very relaxing start to our holiday. Really close to ammenities and the most wonderful beach!!

Due to the terrible weather some days ,we were able to play board games that were in the home stay. We had a very relaxing time. The house was spacious, clean and very comfortable.

Excellent accommodation
This accommodation was perfect for our stay. Set in a peaceful location on the rivers edge, beautifully clean, and fully-equipped with everything we needed. We received great communication from our hosts, which made check in a breeze. Ideally situated close to the motocross track, supermarket and shops. Would highly recommend as a place to stay, and will hopefully return some time in the future! Thanks.

We ended up just having a short stay due to the weather which was disappointing as it was a lovely, clean house perfect for our family and in a beautiful spot. The hosts were very helpful with information and really understanding when we had to leave early - very appreciated!

Comfortable, clean property in quiet area close to beautiful beaches and countryside. Within easy reach of shopping centre. Carol and Gordy were very welcoming and supportive, as were neighbours Lee and Holly. Highly recommend this property.

Lovely outlook
Needed accommodation for extra family. Perfect location for us and lovely outlook. Was such a warm and inviting place and beautifully decorated. Owner was lovely and communication great. Will definitely be booking again when needed.

Perfect stay for a family
Perfect spot for a family. Had everything we needed & more (lots of toys & books for our 2YO son. Every little detail had been accounted for & we felt right at home. The place was lovely & clean, the host were amazing & more than accommodating. Perfect location on the river with lots of grass area for our toddler to kick the ball around. Would definitely recommend & stay again.

Beautiful location. Quiet and restful. Clean, bit of luxury, and very well appointed. Lovely helpful hosts. We had stayed for a sporting event on the amazing beach, and wished we could have stayed longer to make the most of the opportunity to explore more of this beautiful area is Aotearoa. The property was exactly as advertised. Lovely homely unit that was styled nicely with everything you need. We cooked meals and the kitchen was very well stocked. Great shower and comfortable beds too!

A lovely slice of paradise
My friend and I had a lovely time staying in Carol and Gordie’s unit. It was tidy, clean and had everything we needed and then some. Ruakaka put on some glorious weather for us so we made use of the great deck. Highly recommended for a sweet home away from home. Thanks so much 😊

Lovely bach and beach in Ruakaka
A lot bigger than I expected for the price - large lounge, large bathroom, separate area for dining and also outside dining, and plenty of bench space in the well-stocked kitchen. The hosts made lots of effort to remedy any (minor) comments; they were friendly and helpful. There is a nice outlook to the river, and nearby there is a spectacular beach.

A very nice apartment, a nice spot to watch the ducks
We stayed during a great down pour of rain. Having the river come up and flood the back lawn certainly added to the excitement. It was nice watching the ducks paddle by. The apartment has everything we could need. A very well stocked kitchen- we cooked most of our meals. It was also very warm, dry and comfortable despite the winter conditions.

Hi Adrian Thanks for your great review! I know your stay was impeded by the dreadful “1 in 500 years” flooding around Northland which of course found its way down our river. Certainly we had never seen weather conditions like that! Nevertheless you guys made the best of it..... 👍 thanks

Great stay, we'll be back.
Very welcoming hosts. Lovely quiet location. Carol and Gordon have thought of everything in equipping the Bach. Think it has more stuff in the kitchen than at our own house. It was located close to our daughters house so we could come and go visiting the grandchildren which is one reason we chose it. We'll be back.

Great Stay 👏
We stayed here with Uk family while doing a day fishing trip. We were greeted with a friendly arrival and immaculate accommodation. The property is very handy to shops and only a short drive to the marina. It was very quiet with a lovely river outlook. We had everything we needed. One tiny negative... a door on the second bedroom would be great .... ok for kids, not so good for couples. Thanks for a lovely stay 👏👍

compact relaxing unit opening to lovely deck and lawn. Hadnt realised entrance was thru one of the bedrooms which was fine for a short stay but otherwise not so coonveniant.

We both had a great stay. The unit has everything you could possibly ask for and is lovely and clean. It is situated in a quiet area and is a 2 min drive to local shops. Both Carol & Gordon are lovely people and made us very welcome. We would highly recommend to anyone.

Stay at the beautiful Ruakaka River and Beach bach
We had a lovely time at this place. Property is located at a very convenient location close to Marsdon point,Waipu,Langs beach etc. Lovely place bordering a lake. Well equipped kitchen and it had everytying we wanted. Lovely owners and very helpful. Only negative thing is not having any doors in the rooms. Especially since we had a 18month old. But overall loved it.
