"Perfect location. Easy Self checkin-in. Friendly owners whom went out of their way to bring us a grand breakfast as we had a competition, so we left 45mins before breakfast started. Love the 50’s room. (Soundproof as there was a music festival near the harbour, though our room was at the back). Welcome drinks in room. "It’s a nice hotel, with warm, helpful and friendly hotel staff. Unfortunately, we were assigned a room (#3204) with a difficult access. There is no elevator to get directly to our room. We had to pass thru plight of stairs. As we were joining a 2-week cruise, we had big suitcases with us for our personal stuff. One of the hotel staff at the Reception Desk had to help us to get to our room on our arrival day. It was quite difficult for us - as all 4 guests are retired ladies with 2 of us...

"The hotel has newly refurbished plodding and bar now I hope that the rooms will follow. Whilst the rooms are looking dated and worn. The hotel staff keep them clean and in the best condition possible given their age. The beds are large and comfortable and the bathrooms are clean and have an amazing amount of hot water. "

"the only thing we didn't like was that the room door didn't seal all the way round, when lights out in the room at night, we got light in from around the door. the door did close and lock , it's just that the gaps around it let the hallway light in"
