Quiet, but easy access to centre
Visited with four friends for rugby. Out of the centre but easy access via express bus no.90. Buy a 3 day or 1 day ticket for all transport from a Tabac, which is very good value and saves time and effort. Good choice at breakfast. Airport transfer through the hotel was 85 Euros for 6 people. The Agrippa restaurant close to the hotel is excellent.

Needs some bathroom refurbishments.
We stayed 3 nights in this small hotel. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The location is good for the price. Buses 82 and 90 provide easy connection to the city centre (Rome Termini). The facilities in the bathroom (shower, etc.) need a little of refurbishment work. The breakfast was very good.

Unexpected & Delightful
This was the first hotel we stayed at during the start of our 2.5 week driving tour through the northern Italy. It is tucked away, so if you are driving be prepared for limited street parking and a bit of a whirlwind crash-course in Italian road rules to get here. We were here for three nights, and the hotel was welcoming with extremely helpful staff. While a bit dated, the hotel met all of the needs on our checklist - free wifi, fantastic breakfast included, air conditioned, and located within a 10 minute walk of a direct Metro line into the city centre of Rome. The surrounding area does have some higher-end restaurants about 15-20 minutes walk away but there is no real nightlife, but it does have a beautiful farmers market every morning, and you get a great sense of the locals at several mom & pop restaurants. The rooftop hot tub offered a magnificent sunset view of the outlying area surrounding the city centre (however the hot tub was not working). Still, it was nice to sit and relax in at the end of a few very long days filled with sightseeing in this beautiful city.

Nice Hotel
Hotel Was nice, specially staff, very helpful. It was quite far to the city centre, but 60 and 90 bus take you straight to the mainly attraction in Rome. The Neighbourhood there are some restaurants cheap than the city Centre. Also I did not expectedto be charge so much , they said it is a city tax , like a rule . I would recommend it for friends and family.

Suburban Sunrise
I stayed at the Sunrise Hotel while I was applying for a new passport in Rome. The hotel was comfortable but the room was old. The hotel offered a decent breakfast. It is located away from the centre of Rome but that is reflected in the price. By bus it is relatively close to all the sights you might want to see except for the Vatican City. My room was quite small and the closet was inconveniently placed and hard to access. The staff was amazing and helped me constantly.

It was a good price for what it was. The air conditioner did not work in our room for the first two days so we were HOT! The breakfast was just ok, not great. But really, you get what you pay for. The staff was accommodating and helpful. The rooms were very clean. It was a good 20-30minutes away from the city center.

Overall the hotel isn't bad..it's a good place to stay within the city of Rome... But as a four star hotel it could have done a bit more with the restaurant bar breakfast service... It's seems something every morning and evening... Rooms are good sized and clean and staff members are good so I would stay again because of it and prices....

NOT easy to get to the city centre without a car
No bath, only a shower, in room - despite being classified as 4-star. Shower difficult to operate. Some staff helpful, others not. Breakfast is poor, even by traditional Continental standards. Cable TV service only in Italian. Large room, with good beds, but certainly should not have been given a 4-star classification. To get to city centre: walk, then bus ride, then subway ride - takes a good hour.

Wireless is poor, but place is great.
My only complaint is that the wireless is very weak in some of the rooms, including mine. If you're going to advertise free wireless, it's worth ensuring that all rooms have a reiliable signal for basic tasks such as e-mail and text-based internet search.

OK folks, I tried the Expedia special deal but….
Stayed in room 210, paid in advance via Expedia's blind special deal thing where you can buy first and see the place after payment. OK, gave it a shot since the 2 night stay in Rome was after all a sleepover to catch up on jet lag. The location was ok, a couple of decent restaurants nearby and out the touristy areas. Hotel staff was fine, friendly but hotel itself seemed like it really needed some attention fast. Our room was over the top smelly, musty, sanitization chemical smelly, old rug, ants on the desk and in the bathroom, bathtub/shower had been reconfigured but left the old plumbing on the wall and….and… the new shower was in the middle of the tub and I thought I would slip and kill myself taking a shower! Tried to get an upgraded room but all rooms were sold out. Bed was 2 twins together, ok I have done that before but these were low to ground and hard as rock. Jacuzzi on 5th floor nonexistent. On the positive side: breakfast was ok, location ok, bus access excellent, and staff friendly willing to help. So why am I complaining? Just seems to me the place could benefit from a facelift and if the room is uncomfortable, Expedia should stop selling it in the blind "it's a 3-4 star deal" special that they do. 2 stars is generous!

Hotel was good and in line with what we were expecting. The hotel is not cutting edge modern. Tv is small, and design is a bit old fashioned. But that didn't bother us, and if it doesn't bother you, then this is a great little hotel. Breakfast is also fantastic and extensive.

Not 4 Star
This hotel is a fair distance from central Rome, about a 10 minute walk to the metro station. It says its a 4 star hotel but it barely scraps a 2. The beds are old and uncomfortable, to the point we ended up sleeping at the end of the bed just for some comfort. The room fittings are dated, a light switch was coming away from the wall and several lights did not work. There was mold on the bathroom walls and ceiling, and the air conditioning did not work. The wood parts of the sink in the bathroom were exposed as the paint had come off, possible water damage. Originally we were placed in a disability room on the ground floor even though we did not need it, this room was very loud and hot (air conditioning did not work in here either). The staff were friendly but only to a point, most of the time they are generally dis-interested in the guests.

Pleasant holiday, a little off the beaten track
I was a little disappointed with the provisions in our room. There was no kettle in the room and the hotel does not permit you to store any of your own food or drink in their fridge. This meant that after breakfast you could not even have a glass of water without paying the hotel 2 Euros for a bottle (and this was only available up to 23:00, whilst the bar was open). We missed breakfast on the second day of our stay by 10 minutes, because we were unaware of the day light saving clock change in Italy. We were not even offered a sandwich or cold drink but instead were directed to a bar down the road to buy food. The breakfast room was very nice, as was the food on the mornings we made it down to experience it. Although we did not like the location, the staff were generally pleasant and transport to Termini was within easy reach (twenty to thirty minutes by bus) and frequent.

The hotel is out of town, neighborhood not the best but v safe in my stay. Close to public transport, Bus 60 frm Piazza Simpione takes in to town. My suggestion is to use a taxi or direct shuttle for d 1st nyt s it is nt easy to find frm d bus stop. Bus 90 express takes u to Termin station and stops at Corse Simpione, not far frm d other bus stop. If you r there 4 a weekend and want d night life then ds hotel is nt 4 u else ul b paying taxis late at night. The hotel staffs were v helpful in sorting out what to do in Rome.

Nice Hotel
The hotel was overall very good. Breakfast had a good choice, and plenty of it. It was located on a side road, so there was no immediate traffic noise. You are approx. 30 to 40 minute bus ride away from central Rome, so must be prepared for that. Our only negative point was the bed, which was extremely hard - leaving us physically aching after spending 5 nights on it.

Very good hotel.... the only issue is that it is a bit of commute to the center of Rome (even though this location was so peaceful and calm...loved it). That said, I would still probably stay here again because it was so peaceful and super big for European standards. The staff were extremely nice and accommodating. 2 thumbs up!!!

Great base for visiting Rome
Great Hotel, Staff very helpful and friendly. Hotel although a little far from the center of Rome, is very easy to get to by bus and they are very cheap. Restaurants in the area serve great traditional Italian food and are a lot cheaper than the central ones, The best was "Hostaria Menenio Agrippa" right opposite the steps that lead down to the street from the hotel. A few doors down there is a great pastry shop and the beer, wine and other shops in the area are worth a visit. If you intend to spend several days in Rome I would highly recommend the Sunrise Hotel as a base.

Very comfortable stay with most interior in top shape. Building exterior starting to look a bit dated and our curtains in the shower were moldy but other than that can fault sunrise. Helpful staff which you sort of need as hotel a fair way out of city centre but we knew that before booking so no issue. Overall Great value for Roma. You just need to catch a bus in but they come every 5-10 min and only €1.50.

Nice hotel to stay if you want to safe money on the room, you are going to spend money to commute in and from the city center. I do NOT recommend this hotel.
I'll try to be as objective as possible. I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights during the last week of March/ 2012. Pros: - Clean. - Reliable internet connection, although not very fast. - Acceptable breakfast. Cons: - Rooms are very small, unlike the pictures provided on the website. - While the staff isn't exactly rude, they do give you the feeling that you're bugging them when you ask them for help or as if they're doing you a favour. My internet password didn't work at first and the receptionist wasn't too happy when I came to ask for another one. Also, when I asked for directions to the bus stop, the guy just kept telling me to go down the stairs and walk to the right (there's a bit more to it than that). - The hotel is quite far from the city center- about 40 minutes by bus and buses do stop running around midnight. So if you plan to sit back and admire the pantheon at night or go for a late night walk around the colosseum, you wont be able to do that. - The AC doesn't start working until the end of April, which might be a problem for people who enjoy sleeping in a cool climate. - The biggest problem: the hotel is right across the street from a very noisy guesthouse/ neighbours who seem to consistently have parties, especially on weekends. So the one night they kept going until around 4 in the morning which really put a dent in my following day because I was running on only a couple of hours of sleep. - For that much money book elsewhere.

Most rewarding experience. Outstanding Front-desk assistance
Wish to find a special "corner" of Rome (6 miles away from the Forum) where you can interact with local residents and find great Trattorias, Pasticerias and restaurants that carry genuine Italian fare? The Sunrise Hotel is a great find. Also, in the hotel's area you can easily find local transportation; Internet and reasonable long-distance cafes; churches; and, outstanding bilingual front-desk staff that help you out with the right guidance. Special mention is granted to the excellent breakfast included in our room rate. We found the Sunrise and everything else here mentioned to be a great value (combination of price and quality). The Hotel's location may not be everyone's preference since we always had to take additional transportation to places where tours normally originate.

Great location 4* Hotel for people with rental car or a bus pass
Situated on a quiet hill off Via Nomentana this hotel had everything a 4 star city hotel should offer: nice clean rooms, nice helpful staff and all the amenities one should expect from the Italian 4 stars. We had 2 rooms for 5 days and the price to value ration was great, together with short commute to the centre and relatively much fresher air making it a very good choice. Local flee market was quite funny, local deli stalls great source of freshly hand made breakfast food and coffee. Downside: the walls of the rooms are very acoustic, but this is a common problem among the newer constructions Europe-wide

Nice hotel hidden on the outskirts of Roma city center
The hotel had very nice amenities and was furnished to a very high standard and had nice interiors. The rooms are very large and very comfortable and have been maintained well. There was a great - full hot and continental breakfast. It is easy to get to via bus 90 from the city center. The staff are extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here again. It is easy to get to the citiy center. The only difficulty was finding the hotel once you got off the Sempione bus stop as the directions were not so clear. Once you get off the bus (1 euro) - if you continue walking straight across the pedistrian crossing to the end of the road and then turn right on the alley road - then turn left and across - there is a newsagent hut - behind are the steps up to the hotel. It only takes around 5-7 minutes to get up to the hotel but its easy to get a little lost as many locals do not speak english and may not be able to direct you clearly.

It was the nicest hotel we stayed while we were in Italy on our honeymoon. The staff was very very helpful. The location is my only complaint. It took at least thirty minutes to get anywhere. But it was still a nice hotel. There was a pretty good fast food pizza place across the street too.
