This hotel worked well for our family of three, on a recent three-night stay in Rome. We arrived in Rome by rental car, turned in our rental car at the nearby Hertz location (there is also a nearby Avis), and then just walked to the hotel from Hertz. The neighborhood is quiet and feels very safe, the hotel is right down the street from the US embassy, and there are lots of diplomats and working professionals walking around.
Our triple room was rather small, even in comparison to other Italian hotels. The three beds left little room for baggage, maneuvering, etc. The bathroom was very nice, but the shower/tub was very finicky, too many gadgets and not enough splash control.
The free breakfast was more than adequate, served in a nice bright room with the morning news playing on a flat screen TV. The staff was very helpful, helping us to print out our Vatican tickets, giving us recommendations on nearby shops, etc.
This hotel is close enough to the Termini train station and to nearby Metro stations such as Republicca. But it's a long walk from the hotel to many of the main tourist attractions such as the Pantheon, Roman Forum, Vatican, Spanish Steps, and Piazza Navona. So plan to either use the Metro or do lots of walking!
