Nice quiet room
The room was fine but not in the main building, the problem is that we arrived at midnight and after picking up the keys and doing the check in in another sister hotel we had to find the entrance of the building where our bedroom was and the indications they gave us were not too precise! Also at night you cannot see the number “10” or the slot where to introduce the key… we lost 20 minutes finding it!! Apart from that, room was fine and very quiet, the mattress was fantastic. Since I was sick for three days in Rome and I could not visit it, at least staying in that quiet room with a good bed was a good choice after all. But please give better indication to people who arrive late at night 🙏

Was advertised a room with a larger, newer renovated bathroom but not given that when we checked in. Spoke with front desk staff (who were nice) and when I showed them the pictures of the advertised room, they acted like they’d never seen a room which looked like it. So, it’s pretty clear that the hotel is using the pictures of a different, nicer hotel. False advertising. Other than that, you can hear the door of every room slamming closed 24hr/day. Staff was apologetic and kind and maid staff was thorough. Unfortunately it’s a 1 star hotel and worth maybe half of what I paid.

Great Stay
Great location within relatively easy walking distance of main sights and close to Rome Termini bus and train station. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and reasonable sized rooms with good facilities. Not so sure about the lift but we were only on the second floor.

We chose the Hotel des Artistes because it was walking distance from Roma Termini and it was affordable. It was just what we had hoped: an easy walk from the train station, a friendly multi-lingual staff, a clean, newly renovated room with a firm bed and nice linens. They have an elevator and allow you to store your luggage while you explore Rome. The only drawback is that the rooms are small, but for short stays, who cares?

All hotels in this area are older buildings, including this one. But it was clean and and adequate. Helpful staff. Many restaurants near by and the trains station is 7 min walk.

Great value 7 night stay
Stayed here for Ryder Cup week. It was perfect. Very clean. Very comfortable roomand beds. The breakfast was as advertised and expected. Staff were all very friendly and helpful when we needed them. The area immediately around the hotel has several nice restaurants which are inexpensive. 10/10 would recommend the hotel. Really good value.

My partner and I just spent 3 days at this hotel. The room was lovely and spacious, larger than I expected…and I thought very reasonably priced This is the seconded time I’ve stayed in this area…very central and easy to get around. Train station is close by, and the metro is easily accessible. Great restaurants and cafés in the area. Peter at the front desk was super helpful with giving us directions. I recommend this location

Perfect Stay
The hotel it’s perfect for a family trip. I booked a triple room. I felt at home. The hotel is cosy and nicely located - close to Termini Station and at the corner of Carlos Pretorio Station. Massive options of restaurants to enjoy the Italian life at a nice price. In the room there is a British plug option - you don’t need to bring or adapter. Also, there are USB ports - convenient to charge your phone. The breakfast was nice with a range of options - like bread, cakes, juices, cheese, ham, fruit, etc. The whole team of staff gave us a good experience and gave a good knowledge of customer service.

I would stay at this hotel again if I'm ever in Rome. Especially if I was coming into Roma Termini station. The staff was extremely helpful, rooms were a good size, beds were comfortable, and everything was very clean.

Rooms absolutely not soundproof as advertised, could hear people walking on stairs, doors slamming super loudly, and my direct neighbor was talking and shouting all through the night. Called the emergency number because the concierge closes at 11pm and the man on the phone didn’t believe me when I said my neighbor was being extremely loud so no action was taken. My girlfriend and I complained and spoke to the manager the next day to give us a refund for at least a night and we were only given €50 back. The staff were very friendly but absolutely no action was taken to ensure we had a pleasant stay and at least a good night sleep. Will not be coming back, would not recommend if you’re looking for somewhere quiet.

POSITIVES: they offered breakfast in the morning which was acceptable, and they offered a baggage storage service which was very convenient since I was able to be in the city before my evening flight even though my check out was in the morning. Clean environment, good bathroom, they had a fridge, a safe, and the cleaning lady was very friendly and helpful. NEGATIVES: WiFi is not always reliable and it lost internet in the middle of an important online meeting. Also, I faced an issue with my bed, which I described in the story below. OVERALL: 4/5 rating but I'm being generous considering that it wasn't cheap for a 3 star hotel (over $1100 for 5 nights) MY BED ISSUE: The reservation says Queen size bed but they said that they didn't have that. I felt the manager was rude and unprofessional when he tried to act smart by saying that he upgraded me from 1 bed to 2 beds (hoping I'm an idiot to believe him), then when I tried to say my reservation says Queen, he quickly tried to shut me up before I can continue and literally told the lady at the desk "finish, finish" and waved his hand as if to dismiss me and end the discussion. Very impatient and annoying!! Later, I learned from other staff that this hotel doesn't have Queen size and they simply join two small sized beds to look like a Queen size. I don't know if this is normal and acceptable behavior in Rome, but I never saw this in my years of travel elsewhere. Every day, I would sink in the gap between the beds. Unacceptable!

You had booked a Single Superior room and were upgraded to a big double room. We do not have queen sized mattresses. All beds in our double rooms have two mattresses pushed together but usually guests do not complaint since the way the housekeepers prepare the beds doesn't make feel anyone uncomfortable.Kind regards

Would recommend
Beds were a little hard and the room initially had a stale smoke smell (probably from previous guests) but the hotel were extremely accommodating. Gentleman at the front desk offered a room change and was very sorry for the inconvenience. Other than that, the location was ideal for getting around to all the sites and the hotel was lovely

I arrived late, and had to leave at 6 a.m., but I'm rating it on an earlier 2-day stay a couple of weeks earlier. The hotel is one of many in an area near the Stazione Centrale, and the location is a prime asset. My room during the first stay was quite small, but the later stay was unpredictably larger. Excellent breakfasts. A quirky elevator worth using if you are carrying heavy baggage up or down. A rooftop terrace that, because of weather, I never got around to using-- but sounds llike an excellent idea.

Nice hotel
Hotel was very nice. Staff were wonderful We were in the old building and steps steep but there was a lift , room was very clean and shower pressure was great, my only complaint was we had very loud English neighbours. Which was out of the hotels control

On first impressions, the hotel was easily accessible to the train station and staff were welcoming. However, after arriving in the hotel room quite late at night and using the amenities, we found explicit indecent personal photographs of a female on the TV. This was very distressing and disgusting and we both felt very uncomfortable sleeping in the room we were given. I spoke with reception first thing the next morning to discuss what had been found with the manager. Reception were very considerate and understanding and moved us to a different room whilst we went into Rome city centre to sight see. But unfortunately, I cannot say we received the same understanding from the manager. We came back to the hotel on 2 occasions that day to speak with the manager, wasting time and money and spoiling the plans we had already made. But we were avoided all day. We eventually made contact with the manager, who laughed when we explained the situation. The manager did not think that there was an issue and refused to give a refund or offer any compensation. The manager showed no consideration, understanding or empathy for what we had witnessed and the inconvenience it had caused. We were truly disappointed and upset with our stay.

Dear CarlaWe remember this case.You showed to our lady at the reception a photo you took with your mobile of some pictures that were clearly upoloaded on the Tv screen. We never found these pictures in the memory of the TV and have no proof they were uploaded by someone else other than you.For you complaint , that we didn't want to discuss, we offered you an upgrade into a bigger room. Later you asked for the full refund of the first night and this request seemed to be odd, and the whole story like an attempt to get money from the hotel. Regadrs
