Wanted resort w/restaurant on site, priv balcony, & very nice. D'Monaco claims all 3 & luxury hotel on website. On arrival, restaurant closed that day & next. No room service as depicted (too much trouble) - pickup, Styro containers, plastic utensils. Food not bad, not great. Breakfast not offered as depict. Rest\bar\pool much smaller than depict. No grounds to walk. Balconies small & close to others, can hear people’s words. Can see other balconies by looking out window, not priv as depict. Suite minimalistic: king bed, only 1 night stand; 2 trash cans for suite; few dishes (had to wash daily); micro only heating source; 2 towels, 2 people, 6 days; no garb disposal; cheap products (tissue, t. paper, paper t.) & not enough; 1 sm soap bar for bath sink (ended up buying liquid soap), 1 for shower; no hand shower; bath water metallic smell; BR doors, shower door, micro, coffee maker, toilet made loud noises to operate (heard the neighbors); sliding door squealed (applied shampoo); front door wailed in wind; insufficient space for bath counter & BR, no hooks for robes/towels; freezer didn’t freeze; frig knocked; poor TV (min DirecTV w/commercials); noise - neighbors woke us, daily loud construction across lake; smoking prohibited on property (under Terms & Conds on website). D'Monaco is proud of the views & should be. View wonderful. Room very clean & pretty. Bed comfortable. Service requests met quickly. Staff friendly. But - not a luxury hotel, not worth the substantial cost.
