Big gap all around the room door, deadbolt just barely caught, privacy latch loose, smoke detector missing, lamp shade in bathroom missing, bathtub didn't drain, little or low water from faucet in lavatory, thread bear towels.

The room stink and had small roaches, I told them that and the lady asked me to open the door for a little while. I asked for a refund and was denied, which I thought would’ve rightfully been given to me because of the room but my experience was terrible.

I'll say this it has roaches, it didn't have a shower curtain and only had two pillows for two double bed. The sink drain was leaking.

No phone in the room. no one in the office late at night. room next to us was very loud from 2 am to around 4:30am. Someone banged on my door at 3 am wanting in. Didn't know the person or persons. Told them to go away.

We needed to make an unplanned trip to Richmond, and as such, i booked a same-day (no cancelation) room rental for later that night and we headed out after 6pm to drive the 3 hours north. When we arrived to our room and turned on the lights, there were live roaches running down the walls, dead and live bugs in/on the microwave, and black spots (that wipe off) in between the sheets.The light fixutres above the mirror and the sinks didnt have bulbs in them, and our non-smoking room had cigarette burn holes through all the layers of bed coverings including the mattress pad. I was afraid to set any of my belongi g down for fear of bugs getting in them. We left the room and returned to the checkin desk in less than 4 minutes. The clerk offered us another room, next to the first, (gross, as bugs in one room would mean bugs in the next), but refused a refund, saying it would have to go through Expedia. My husband and I left and got a hotel room down the street, where we contacted Expedia. Knowing that i had booked a no-cancelation room, i was contacting them mainly to file a complaint against America's Best Value Inn for the live bug activity and the overall unhygienic conditions of their accommodations. I was told to hold, and the CSR contacted the motel and then informed me that America Best Value Inn declined to issue a refund as they have "a policy that they follow in these situations." I thought that booking through Expedia was how one prevented against this exact situation?

Assigned 3 rooms before actually getting into a room that was ready (we arrived after 5 PM). No shower curtain in bathroom. Towels were extremely small. At 1 AM, another couple tried to enter our room because hotel clerk forgot to change our original unmade room to the one he finally assigned to us, so at 1 AM the room we were in was assigned to another couple. No great places to eat around this area. Overall staff was nice, but our experience was not.

The rooms were dated. The furniture was broken. There was no towels. The front desk said he was on the overnight shift and could not help us. Poultry breakfast selection. First full of rooms in the back were still up a flight of stairs

The staff is very friendly, just the room is smelling a lot like cigarrettes, the location is not good since a lot of noise from the road. Very dirty the area.
