Good but…
I know it’s not W, but for the price: 1. The lobby and lift smells like ammonia (mild rotten egg) 2. The soap dispenser in the bathroom was on the vanity top instead of affix to the wall. 3. The bath/shower was very narrow - anyone who is “bigger” than 180cm / 85kg will struggle to shower in it. Hotel staffs were friendly and the location is great to be a base to explore Heidelberg.

Cental location and walkable from railway station, also in walking distance of old town, castle etc. Decent room for the cost, reception was busy on check-in and fairly long wait to register / get keys.

Convenient location
Modest outdated room and bathroom. Carpet needs replacement! Bath, no shower. Tea maker, no coffee machine (a big pity) and a small fridge. Friendly and helpful staff. Traffic noise, not too bad at night. Comfy bed and pillows. Hotel parking underground cost 17€. Free street parking 7pm-8am on weekdays, after 2pm on Saturday and the whole day on Sunday. The rest of the time there is a parking meter 2€/hour, maximum 2hours. Another option is underground Parking P15 Klinikum Bergheim at 250m from the hotel 10€/1day, 17€/2day… Narrow driveway in front of the hotel to load/unload the luggage. 10-minute walk to downtown. No bad wifi.

The hotel was satisfactory - it was close to the city centre and not too far of a walk from the train station (about 10 minutes). The rooms were spacious and had all the necessities which you would look for - kettle, tea, etc. The coffee at reception was a little bit of a let down being instant rather than machine coffee (I'm not referring to breakfast coffee, but rather the free coffee provided at reception). Other hotels offer machine coffee which is a little more sophisticated. However, I would have rated this hotel 4 stars - BUT wifi was a letdown for me. Wifi would often disconnect and for some reason, my Samsung phone would have significant issues with the wifi connection. My laptop would connect, but my Samsung phone would not - and I have never had any issues with any other hotels I've been at with connection to my phone as I've had here. Just a shout out in case you also have a Samsung phone. As I was here for business, needing good wifi was an important aspect for me. Otherwise, my stay was good. Another issue is that the hotel only has ONE elevator. This can be problematic, particularly during COVID when only one family should use the elevator at a time. Luckly I was on the third floor so could take the stairs, but felt for those on the higher levels. Also, temperature controls with the air conditioning wouldn't work very well, as I am a warm sleeper. Ended up keeping the window open at night (would be good if they had a fly screen).

Different choice this trip
We came back because there's so much to see! We love it! So we picked this hotel this trip. Much quieter on a Saturday night. Like the newer feel. Chose the other Leonardo 4.5 km outside of the city, by mistake for 1 night, not as nice. Still getting my credit worked out from another booking site! Omg! Again it had a fridge, front desk staff very nice. Had snack in the lobby and ice water with citrus!! Didnt eat there at all. Would stay again.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The lobby area was nice with beverages available (flavored water and a hot drink). Adequate bar area with competent bartender. Room was basic. Bathroom was large and nicely appointed. Toilet and shower needed more cleaning. There were two elevators but they were extremely slow and so packed we had to carry or luggage down the stairs when leaving as we waited twice only to find no room on either elevator. Proximity to the Alstadt area was great and this was my favorite thing about the property. Easy walking distance to the Christmas markets and Old Town area. Pleasant stay on the whole.

It was ok, not exciting experience. Hotel location is perfect walking distance to the centre. Furniture in the room is a bit old, kind of 80's, otherwise bed is very comfortable and cozy. Spacious bathroom which was very clean. Staff is polite and welcoming. For short stay is worth it.

The best aspects of this hotel were the staff - all very helpful and cheerful and the super breakfast! One minor niggle, though a very personal one, was the temperature in the room - far too hot, even with the thermostat turned down! This is the second time I have stayed in Germany with this hotel group and I would have no hesitation of using them again.

Good location. Easy checkin and checkout. Convenient car parking. Hotel room was outdated. Bathroom smelled horrible from the moment we walked in. Had to keep the door closed the whole time. Went to grab the remote and it hadn't been cleaned - dried on food.
