We liked the staff and location. Food is very expensive in Iceland so the complimentary breakfast was great. There was a little bar if you fancied a drink. The lobby was cozy and was nice to visit with our friends. Our room 406 was oddly shaped if you are tall ask for a different room. It was also noisy there was a pub next door. We would stay again.

The hotel was convenient to shopping, restaurants, and main transportation services, and the staff was very helpful and friendly; however, our main complaint was the poor lighting and small bedroom size. We could barely read the room numbers in the scantily-lit halls, and given the gloominess and number of overcast days in Reykjavik, the hotel would have been much better with increased lighting.

The hotel advertised itself as the best in Reykjavik despite the fact that the rooms were just ok. Some of the furniture in the rooms we booked was in poor condition and our room was so cluttered with it, we couldn’t move around easily. Breakfast was great. Location was perfect in City Center. Staff was friendly. If you want access to spa it costs extra. If I go back to Reykjavik, I would try another hotel.

Very good location as are any of the center hotels as Reykjavik is quite walkable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good shower and no shortage of hot water ( much appreciated after spending the day outside, sun and hot days not what Iceland known for).

The staff here are always wonderful. They are helpful and accommodating. This is located very nicely between bus stop 3 and 6 which makes it easy for transportation.

We spent 5 excellent nights here. Wonderful location with easy walking to shopping/the harbor/museums–everything. We enjoyed the hotel’s public spaces: the downstairs lounge and breakfast area were always candle-lit with soothing interior waterfall–very calm and relaxing area. We chose this hotel because it was designed by a local architect/interior designer and all the interior details were excellent. The room was likewise well designed–especially the leather headboards and chairs, with plentiful lighting that could be dimmed. The bathroom glass enclosure was a little unusual but the glass wasn’t see through! Our room was extremely comfortable. And the staff were courteous and helpful!
