"The property was fine for the price paid but there was a ridiculous guest who was banging and shouting all night long which meant no one got any sleep and another guest confronted him and told him to go to the reception to let him into his room. "Spent night here on way to LHR. Hotel is close to station and Railair. Loads of shopping and restaurants nearby. Large bath and large shower in room. Difficult to use TV if you are a techniphobe like me. Would recommend. "

The hotel is centrally located with excellent connection links, shops and tourist sights nearby. My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying at The Roseate again. Plenty of area to walk our dog and lovely areas for us to have breakfast. Will definitely return when in the area again. "

"We have visited The Swan at Streatley 5+ times in total over the past few years. For us, as we live relatively locally, it's a nice place to get away and enjoy a night away from home. Cleanliness is superb, as you should expect, as is comfort. All rooms, whichever size, are brilliant. However, the ones near the stairs, such as 21 I believe, have some noise if people are heavy on the stairs. However not a reason not to say and I believe they're one of the cheapest rooms. The restaurant, run by Coppa Club, is brilliant. You can eat on the enclosed terrace all year round and the price isn't too extreme given the location. Don't love the 12% service charge to be honest but you have to pay this in lots of places these days, it is dicretionary. Lots of places to go and sit around the hotel to enjoy a drink or their new lounge menu. Ample parking too, never an issue and lots of nice walks nearby too. Hotel is also dog friendly. May start to sound like an advert but just a good review! Not being paid at all to write all this."

"I was called down to Reading for a business meeting. Unfortunately, i am on crutches at the moment, so needed on site parking which most city centre Hotels did not offer, i booked this hotel as it was only a short distance away from my meeting venue, Iwas greeting and checked in by the manager, he then carried my overnight bag to my room for me, (thank you ). The room was lovely and clean with a vast array of nibbles and a well stocked fridge, suppliments applied. After freshening up i went to the comfortable bar , restaurant and ordered my food, the bar staff took my drink order from the table and brought it to me, the food was first class and very tasty, all in all a very satisfying stay, top marks to the staff, i would definitely recomend thus as a place to stay."

"Had a room on the 6th floor which was fairly quiet for a city centre hotel. The room was spacious and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful and the Friday night live music was nice. Will definitely stay here again when visiting Reading."
