"The St Ives is a really family friendly hotel. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The kids entertainment was very good. If I had one critique it would be that the £9 charge for a kids meal is quite expensive for a two year old. Maybe under 5’s should eat for less? It didn’t spoil our break though. "Our room was fairly basic but clean and tidy with a sea View. It was comfortable if a little tired looking and a fridge/minibar would have been welcomed. The breakfasts were good with a decent choice of hot and cold foods and juices. We only dined once and enjoyed our meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It is a shame we did not have time to make use of all the facilities particularly the indoor pool. All in all we enjoyed our 3 night stay and would be happy to go back to the Dalmeny...

"Clearly bought over from another chain, this IBIS is a bit different to most I’ve stayed in (eg in London). But we had a warm welcome despite a very late checkin, the room was clean & well presented, everything worked and the beds were comfy. Tasty breakfast too. The spa wasn’t overly busy, and the rain stayed away long enough to really enjoy the outdoor jacuzzis and enjoy a nice cold beer.
