Last Thursday i departed for Cary NC. That is a 7 hour drive. I called the hotel in advance to let them know i would be arriving around 3am which the lady who answered the phone said no problem she would mark it on my reservation. I get there after driving 7 hours expecting someone to be at the desk when i arrives and nobody was there. I waited 20 minutes at least before an employee came sauntering in like nothing was going on, didn’t even apologize for not being at the desk to check me in when i arrived. I was finally given my key but was told that the elevator wasn’t working and my room was on the fourth floor. So i had to make multiple trips up 8 flights of stairs in order to bring my belongings to my room. I turned the heat on to go to sleep and i woke up the next morning and cold air was blowing from the heater. I also tried to take a shower in the morning and there was no hot water and no good water pressure. At this point i am extremely upset and wanted to speak to a manager. I went to the lobby around 9:30am to attempt to speak to a manager and was told he would give me a call. I got no such call and i had to go the front desk again at 5pm before i was able to finally see the manager. I explained all my concerns, and when i told him about the heater in my room he told me it was motion activated. So the heat will turn off because it senses nobody in the room even though i was in the room. I was refunded for a day and the manager looked reluctant to even do that.

Overall this property fit my needs. The guy that checked me out was very friendly. Unfortunately my room had a strong odor (wet dog and urine). All of the lamp shades had a ring of brown around the bottom which was pretty offputting. But overall the room was clean and the property is in a great location.

The room looked cleaned but once inside the bathroom soap scum was left on the shower around the knobs that hadn’t been sanitized. The air vent inside bathroom was very dusty with balls of dust and the worst of all was the uncomfortable squeaky bed. The bed seemed to be sunken in on one side and this prevented a good nights sleep on a firm bed.

It was close. The check-in staff were very friendly. The checkout staff were friendly. That's the only good thing. The bed was horrible on my back. And I seen two cockroaches run across the TV cabinet. But because of the bed I ended up checking out in the middle of the night. You have to give a $50 refundable on checkout deposit which I have not seen return to my account yet. So hopefully I'll get it in the next couple days. And of course the hallways smell like smoke even though the rooms were supposed to be all smoke free. I have stayed there a few years ago and had a quite pleasant stay. This was not one of those times. And I will be looking for something else next time.

As much as we really liked this same hotel location 10yrs ago, it’s sadly gone as far down as anything I’ve ever seen. I don’t have enough words to describe the filthy hallways and stairs, broken ice machines, back door of the main lobby building was zip-tied to stay open 24/7..which is a big safety risk, just so so bad. We did stay in the older building at this location so if you absolutely have to stay here, ask for the newer building next to it, which we stayed in 10yrs ago for a month waiting for our house in Cary to be ready. But who kni Only positive are the 2 front desk girls MIA & MONA, I feel so bad for these poor girls, they are making $15 an hour and one of them has to do 2 overnights every week and she weighs all of about 98 pounds. With that back door open and all three entry doors having only one that locks and needs a room key to get in with, it’s risky. I’m so worried for her. I told her to find another job ASAP. Also the front desk night dude with the brown shaggy hair gaslighted me about the door not locking saying “everything is safe here in Cary, this isn’t LA or NYC”. That’s irresponsible IMO because we all know that nothing is safe in this world right now. Literally anyone can walk in that door and barge into a room or shoot into those hotel rooms. I didn’t sleep at all the 2 nights we were there. The bed was comfy though so who knows. I think that whole hotel should be torn down or sold off at this point. Not safe at all.

The property is located conveniently in an area with walkable stores and alternative eateries. The interior still needs to be refurbished because a look on the ceiling and the bathrooms, will show wall paints that are coming off. Room needs some work. Broken doors, outlets that dont work and noisy hvac unit need to be addressed. Price was too high for the room and was disappointed overall. The staff was great and did what they could but repairs are needed. This location is a money maker only for the owner who has no interest in investing in upkeep of the hotel. Red Roof should be embarrassed.

They let homeless people live in parking lot and were doing drugs. Very scary for children. Guy who works on property came to front dest while we were checking in. Had phone on in his pocket facing out with a porno playing on it. You can’t make this stuff up! The 2 behind desk talked to each other and only acknowledged me to pay and sign! Very rude. Property very dirty one bed not even able to be slept in!!

We arrived to check in and the front desk was in no rush to get people in their rooms. I spent almost an hour waiting while the manager just sat behind his desk and drink coffee. We finally get to the room and found roaches in the room so we never felt comfortable having snacks. The worst part of it all, was the elevator never worked and we stayed on the fourth floor and it seemed to have been out of order for some time. I would never stay here again.

Front desk was rude. Was in a hurry. They look up my reservation and tell me that my credit card payment had to be made online with hotels.com. Really felt like this place was false advertisement but maybe I didn’t pay enough attention to reviews. Check-in took forever, nobody assisting front desk. Elevator out of service. Stairs in terrible condition and reeked of smoke. Didn’t get the right room but no chance to fix due to lines. Room serviceable but beds were cheap, covers itchy. One of two towels were nice. Shower was cold first day at 8am, thankfully hot second day. Gaps under doors mean you hear everything from the hall, over full hotel on a Friday with rowdy folks. Hidden safe deposit fee that requires an action at checkout (though person working desk at checkout said she usually removes it, so some good employees!). And found two spots of dog poo in the back stairwell that stayed overnight. For the price, what a scam.
