The toilette is very shallow which made going to the bathroom difficult. The ceiling are 7 feet tall. Breakfast is at their Starbuck's, cost per day, two people an additional $40 with tips.

The toilet was so low in the bathroom, and there was no grab bar close to the toilet. This is unacceptable for an "accessible" room. The staff were nice and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay at this Marriott very much so. We were a late check in at 12 midnight and Spencer was exceptional at taking good care of us. Thankful for him pointing out nearby restaurants within walking distance. We chose to dine at the Italian (AUTHENTIC) restaurant next door. WOW-AMAZING! The hotel was clean and met our needs completely, staff was friendly, courteous, helpful. Our only slight complaint was the ability of hearing traffic on the main highway. It didn’t keep me awake, but did bother my boyfriend some. Of course, this is no fault of the hotel, itself. We would stay here again and again. We didn’t meet one unfriendly soul during our three day visit to Durham, NC. Very enjoyable!

The bistro for food was not open and it wasn’t the next morning- no coffe, etc. the guests in the room next to us kept us awake all night with their loud tv and loud talking - all night - we should have called the front desk but we didn’t so that part was our fault

I am a long time Marriott member) The 3 of us arrived having requested a room with 2 queen beds. We were given a room with one bed and a pull out and when we opened the pull out, it was disgusing with crumbs and an plastic knife. Plus no bedding. We asked for a different room and the person on the desk apologized and also gracioulsly offered us breakfast. When we came back to the room on our second day, we were shocked that the room had not been made up and there were no new towels. We asked about why the room was not made up and we were told we had to request it. The person who checked us in never told us. I have not been at a Marriott that did not clean rooms daily unless the guest opted out. The room was cold throughout and we could not warm it up. It was one of my worst Marriott experiences and not up to Marriott standrds.

When we encountered a problem in our room the front desk quickly gave us an alternative room and also breakfast vouchers. That was nice. Still, the prices at the breakfast bistro were crazy high. $24 for two cups of luke warm coffee that did not taste like Starbucks and a fruit cup and a yogurt and fruit parfait. The second room was nice and very comfortable. There was a lot of perfume or air scent in the halls and lobby.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The lobby was lovely. But the location and room were horrid. The hotel is right beside the interstate. The road noise continued all throughout the night. The worst was the room. There was small pieces of trash on the floor, hair on the bed, stains that looked like body fluid. We barely slept we felt so uncomfortable. There's a lot that needs to be replaced and updated in the rooms and they need to be better cleaned.

Much Needed R&R
The staff was awesome, the place was clean and comfortable. The only concern I had was the lack of transportation to the train station. The van only went to Duke and Duke is 5 minutes from the train station.
