"Neat and clean, excellent value"

"Despite the decor in the rooms needing a little updating, considering the constant usage by travellers the accommodation was clean, serviced regularly, and the layout of rooms/ bathrooms and living area was excellent. Kitchenette had all the necessary utilities and crockery, cutlery for our use. It was great to have a balcony, from which we had magnificent views of the harbour. Swimming pool was great. The whole complex provided for a range of facilities and eateries. We will definitely stay here when our family of three adults and two teenagers return to Sydney. I would also recommend The Star Residences to any of my extended family or friends should they visit. I have not commented on the casino, breakfast or Harvest Buffet as we did not use these facilities, however we heard good reports about the buffet from other families who we met during our stay."

"2 bedroom apartment really suited our needs. Loved the design of the hotel, transformed from the wool shed. Walking to the room was quite different, which we liked. Very carbon neutral hotel, which I value as well. Only hiccup was check in. Whilst a busy time was a little slow. Would stay again."

"We stayed at Novotel Sydney on Darling Harbour for one night to celebrate my son’s birthday, but unfortunately our experience was disappointing. There was no warm welcome on arrival, and no complimentary birthday treat or cake for the celebration. The room did not feel clean—the carpet was dusty, the bathroom had mould and an unpleasant smell, and one of the face towels had what appeared to be a red stain on it. We were also surprised that there was no complimentary bottled water or basic toiletries provided. Overall, the cleanliness and service did not meet our expectations, and the stay was not as special as we had hoped for our son’s birthday celebration."
