I recently stayed at the Lopesan Hotel for 6 nights with my family, and while the hotel’s infrastructure is impressive, our overall experience was disappointing due to numerous service and management issues.
Positives:
The hotel’s physical aspects are outstanding. The furniture, floor tiles, and every detail of the interior design are of top-notch quality. Our room was spacious, clean, and cozy, featuring a big balcony with a lovely balcony set. These aspects provided a good first impression.
Negatives:
There were not enough staff members, and many lacked proper training. Unqualified personnel were preparing cocktails, leading to poor-quality drinks.
Drinks were served in plastic cups, reminiscent of a high school cafeteria, which is unacceptable, especially for the price we paid.
The staff’s attitude made us feel undervalued, as if we hadn't paid for our stay. We spent $3300 for a family of three, expecting much better service.
The open buffets were of poor quality, with no labels indicating what each dish was. It seemed like the same food was being reused repeatedly.
The à la carte restaurants were generally okay, except for the Italian restaurant, Gondol. The experience there was the worst we had, with rude staff serving us uncooked ravioli. It’s hard to believe such an error could occur in a kitchen.
The pools were not well-maintained. Instead of a clear blue, the water had a greenish tint, indicating poor cleaning. There were many foreign materials at the bottom.
