Overall me and my family had a very nice time but there were a few things i did not like. When we arrived the reservation agent talked us into upgrading to a "family suite" which was not a family suite since it only had one bed. They had to put 2 twin beds in the living room. There was no dresser to put our clothes in. The tv's didn't work correctly. In the bathroom the shower door didn't close properly and they tried to patch the side walls of the shower and did a terrible job. They charged me $800 more for the suite and it definitely was not worth it. The food was average - the Italian restaurant was terrible. When my food arrived it was definitely not Italian food and it was cold. We just walked out. The buffet was ok but nothing spectacular. I stood at many other hotels in Punta Cana and the food was much better. The staff at the resort was absolutely wonderful. Daniela and Christian at the Buffet were lovely people and made my family feel special. They keep the resort spotless. Always cleaning and our maid for the room was a lovely woman. I'm sorry I didn't get her name. When I go to the same island a number of times I try different hotels, but I would not recommend this one. I should have just stayed in the room i originally chose because the $800 I spent extra was a waste of my money.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jewel Palm Beach! Firstly, the dining options were exceptional, with a variety of options to choose from. Despite the restaurants not accepting reservations, the longest wait we encountered was about 10 minutes. The beach area was nice, and the staff made every effort to clear seaweed along the beach daily. Plus, if you walk 5-10 minutes down the beach, you’ll find beautiful white sandy beaches. We also appreciated the resort's close proximity to Punta Cana airport (about 20-minutes). We booked a private transfer to the resort as there didn’t seem to be a shuttle to the resort from the airport. Given the resort’s small size, everything—pools, restaurants, and beach—was conveniently within walking distance. While we didn't explore the casino or disco, the daytime poolside activities were fun! We recommend upgrading to the club level; the club restaurant surpassed our expectations, and there is an exclusive pool and beach areas for club members. If there's an area for improvement, it would be the room accommodations. Although it appeared that renovations were underway during our visit, we stayed in a club tropical deluxe (king) room that, while nice, could benefit from a bathroom upgrade. While some rooms in our hallway experienced leaks during a rainstorm, fortunately, ours was not affected. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!

The resort itself is ok, small and a bit outdated. They don’t offer transportation to pick you up from airport. The rooms were basic but no door to separate the shower area from the rest of the room, there was a door to separate the toilet. The house keeping was poor and they would not always replace towels and bath gels etc. a few times we needed to request towel and stop them in the hall for supplies. They basically just made the beds, the room smelt of cigarette smoke when the AC ran. There are no elevator, which meant terrible seeing the buildings are only three levels. The drinks are about as cheap as the get when it comes to alcohol content, no wrist bands so be prepared to so ID. The gym had extremely old equipment, broken, rickety, and rusted!! The food was pretty bad the specialty restaurants were absolutely terrible with the exception of hibachi!! The buffet was not great, offered the same food pretty much everyday and no Dominican dishes. There used to be no night life entertainment. Mediocre nightly show or karaoke. The beach they allow vendors on property and they harass you all day long!!!! Good amount of seaweed!!! The beach chairs were basically all broken!!! some of the workers are rude and laughed in our faces!! At the buffet I seen many ladies walking around with cover ups but I was told I couldn’t go in with one also t was told I need to put a shirt over my half shirt/sport bra like top but another person with me went in at the same time wearing a strap

Beach was wonderful; kept clean. All restaurants fabulous. Pools were thoughtfully designed. Water, soda and beer left in room refrigerators daily. When it rained hard the hallways flooded; we thought the floors should be mopped sooner. Warm water was hit and miss. Would have liked hair conditioner and makeup remover pads in rooms. Despite these few things will definitely be back.

Great place, beautiful clean and unbelievable staff!!! Great service at all times. Excellent dining areas, several choices from buffet style to French, Italian, Mexican and Asian. Beach area beautiful and clean same as the pool. Only two things. Need Little update inside the rooms like closets and dresser. Handrail from the stairs too. The next one, is outside the property, walking in the beach, there is an area next to the resorts (because next to Jewel is another one) it was several bags of garbage that really was very sad to see because, the resort area was so beautiful and clean but just a few steps away from it, it was another story. I know this is not responsibility to the resorts but will be amazing to know, the resorts care about their surroundings.
