I arrived at this hotel late on a Friday night with a flashing oil light and no cufflinks for a wedding the next day. The helpful staff at check-in gave me a map and marked on the location of garages for some oil and the large shopping centre for cufflinks. Both were in walking distance, as was the main railway station, so it's well positioned for the centre. The room was clean and had all I needed. Breakfast was a good enough buffet, included in the rate and was fine for my needs. The staff also arranged a taxi for me to get to the wedding on time. In a nice touch they also turned the TV up in the dining area showing the news on Remembrance Sunday at 11am so we could hear the chimes of Big Ben. The staff and all diners observed the two minutes silence. I was very impressed with all aspects of my stay and would certainly return if I needed accommodation in Derby.
I only stayed one night this time, but always found the hotel to be friendly and because I came by rail it right on
my doorstep. When I come to Derby again, I will be using your hotel, once again. Ho and by the way the breakfast is excellent.
