We stayed 3 nights from 23rd October and enjoyed a fabulous bfast downstairs in the cafe every morning - we ate bfast in the cafe rather than the 19th floor - a change of scenery and a lovely area outside to sit also. The room service was very quick and housekeeping were prompt whenever we needed extra milk or a towel or two. The Horizon Club happy hour 6-8pm was a wonderful room to wind down after a busy day out. Overall the hotel was good value.
After traveling through Nepal/India for 3 weeks, a much needed luxurious stay was need to dust off my tired feet. The staff was friendly and willing to accommodate any request and you will always receive the 5 star treatment. Leela Palace is the golden standard to how all hotels should conduct with their clients.
Great hotel in a good location, walking distance to the Metro at Connaught Place, also easy access to tuk tuks and taxis out the front of the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms spacious and the pool very clean. Organising drivers for sight seeing was expensive but I suppose this is what you begin to expect at a 4-5 star hotel. I found it easier and much more fun to head out and take the Metro, tuk tuks and taxis to get around to the sites of Delhi - I also had no trouble or hassle with negotiating with these drivers. The hotel tried to dissuade me from doing this stating it wasn't 'safe' which was not the case at all and I am a female travelling on my own.
The hotel is located at a very convenient location, and the price too is comfortable for its location. However the rooms are very congested and the toilet is even more congested. Too small for my taste. Would prefer some space. The cleanliness of the toilet was not to the desirable level.
