The Inn was lovely. The staff were wonderful! Felt like family.
They went out of their way to get to know our family group of 12. The restaurant (Tavern) was excellent, Manager/Hostess (Laurie) and server (Romaine) and another male gentleman server whose name I have forgotten were very attentive. Can't wait to return.

I loved the fact that it was rustic but updated beautifully
The front desk went above & beyond! Wonderful service. Floors in room were sticky. It did take more than 15 minutes to get hot water, but it’s old plumbing I’m sure. It did finally arrive. Our waitress for dinner was excellent as well. Breakfast was ok.
The property is an older one with creaks and rustic decor, fun for a wedding with nice grounds and patio and plenty of parking. The walls are thin and you can hear people in the other room. But it is also so quaint and rustic. So depending on what you are looking for, this was a great cozy place to stay.
The Inn interior is exemplary, but the exterior on the less visible sides needs a lot of work. Our room also deserves
5 stars. We would certainly stay there again!
Quaint old New England for sure but maybe just a little too rustic. I was in rm 19 and the entrance area was not my favorite. Eight of my family members joined me for dinner and came up to see the room. Some said if felt spooky, I have to agree. Hot water took forever, lots of wasted water.
We had such an enjoyable experience staying at Three Chimneys Inn. It was nice to be able to walk around the area, going to a restaurant and walking by the river to learn the history of the area. The staff was very friendly as well.
The place smelled strongly of rodent excrement. The AC was extremely loud. The bathtub had big patches of missing enamel. The breakfast was bad. The front desk person was hostile.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
I actually thought that the b and was pleasant and the staff was great, but the breakfasts r terrible. Everything is in plastic bags, and it looks tacky. I liked staying there but breakfast left a sour taste in my mouth.
This is a unique location in the quiet town of Durham. The age and charm of the Inn draws you in right away. Do visit the tavern in the basement too; rich colored wood creates an excellent setting. The bartender waited on the table too and was fantastic. Even the owner stopped by to check on our meal and comfort; you won't get that a Hilton! This place is a great getaway... and be sure to visit the area where they have their water fountains and waterfall too... walk further back and be a peace in the solitude. We loved it.
The Room was very nice. The bed was rickety and noisy.
Liked having the walk in shower this time.
The Contentinal breakfast was very nice to go to....
Would like to return....
This is a sweet inn. We stayed in the carriage house part and had a fairly large room. Breakfast was delivered to our room at 8:00am which consisted of hard boiled eggs, yogurt with granola, muffins, cheese, and and orange. It also came with orange juice and there was a keurig machine in the room. Staff was very pleasant and the bed was comfy.
Nice property, cool room. Clean. Old charm. Not much going on here in the summer. Dinning room not open Sunday through Tuesday. Overall, very pleasant.
It’s an excellent Inn- very historic and cozy. The staff are incredibly professional, yet down to earth. The beds are comfy, rooms are beautifully furnished, and the bathroom was exquisite. The only recommendation I’d say is the HVAC system was very loud while trying to sleep. No biggie- I’m a light sleeper. Definitely worth the stay.

Thank you for choosing Three Chimneys Inn. We appreciate your kind review Heather. We hope to see you again soon.
We were visiting UNH with my daughter, I had recently broken my leg in several places. Everyone was very helpful and made sure my room was located on the lower floor. Beautiful place, perfect location. Will be staying here if my daughter goes to UNH.

Thank you for your review. We hope that your leg is healing well and that your daughter decides on UNH for her education so we can see more of you.
Front desk presence non existent , no after hours number listed and hall alarm went off at 5:30 am.
Bottom floor not for light sleepers as walls are thin.

We had a great stay. We loved staying somewhere that wasn't a typical hotel. The staff was excellent and loved the convenience of breakfast the next day!
