Wonderful hotel, nice convenient location, mostly in the heart of Porto. Delicious great breakfast with super tasty coffee, champagne and fresh made orange juice. We really enjoyed the spa - sauna and pool with jets, has relaxed after long walking day. 15 min to central destination and metro station. Hotel provide us the discount for underground garage parking nearby - 10 euro per day we paid (8 hours at least). Nice bedding and sleeping comfort, good modern TV. Catalonia is super here. We were really enjoyed to stay here for 3 nights. Great customer service and cleaning the room. Highly recommend to stay here! We enjoyed Porto.

It was a great stay. Friendly environment, clean rooms with excellent service. Breakfast a bit expensive but totally worth with varieties of fresh , delicious options. Super quiet area and building with soundproof walls.

Overall we had a nice stay. Lovely hotel, spa was very nice, the staff all seemed lovely. Great location. Very comfy bed. However, on the last night when we returned to our room after being out for the day, my mum’s make up had disappeared. Now we don’t know what happened exactly, but she didn’t take the make-up out of the room. We searched the room top to bottom for 2 hours before ringing reception. The next morning, reception staff said that they had spoken to the cleaning staff and nothing was removed from the room. However, they also said if it was $1000 dollar makeup that had gone missing, then this would have been an issue. The staff saying that was very odd, it seemed that something expensive could be stolen. The make-up was not expensive, but the thought of something missing made us feel uneasy and unsafe on our last night. We still don’t know what happened

Honestly couldn’t recommend this place enough, as soon as me and my friend checked in, we was given a brief local tour for food and drinks, the area was quiet, very close to the shops and restaurants, staff were polite, the rooms were 10/10.

I loved this hotel! I ate and drank in the restaurant and used the spa and gym. All fantastic, worth the money, very well kept. My room was clean and well stocked and the service staff didn’t crash around at 7-8AM and wake me up in the morning like at every other hotel I’ve stayed at recently (this is my hugest pet peeve!). I will absolutely be back.

The staff from the front desk to housekeeping was extremely friendly and very accommodating to most of your requests. They smile and are warm and inviting the min you step into hotel. The F&B staff could work a little bit more on their service friendliness but the chef that does the eggs and pancakes are great. The food variety for breakfast was good enough although after several days, you do get bored of it. The hotel is like 9 mins to the nearest Mcds and less than 3 mins to the shopping area. Nearest Metro is San bento which is only 5 mins walk away. You can walk to Duoro river in like 25 mins and is easily located from the hotel and lots of scenice view along the walk. You would need good walking shoes as lots of cobbles and steps to climb. There is a supermarket less than 2 mins away and should try the Restaurant Francehina Santiago and the restaurant next to it too just 1 min away from the hotel for the famous food. All in all, Porto is a great place and the hotel has been great, other than minor issues, its been a wonderful stay. Thank you :0)

We had a nice stay, although a little disappointed that no body lotion was provided in the standard rooms and access to the pool and spa was 8€ an hour per person. Other than that, the facilities and staff especially Mariana made our stay pleasant. Thank you.

Loved our stay. The hotel was conveniently positioned. Not far from lovely restaurants. The convenience of having 2 supermarkets close by was also great. The young lady who booked us in on reception was great and very helpful over her 3 late shifts. The staff in the restaurant area obviously had some hard shifts. There were times the warm food had not been replenished. Very much a self serve buffet breakfast. The pancakes were good a little ‘anaemic’. The Spa needs to be booked and allows a 1 hour visit. Loved the tranquility and peacefulness after a long day venturing the streets of Porto. Would definitely recommend a visit.

I loved that everyone from the registration staff to house keeping are some of the warmest people! Our room was very spacious and clean. I also appreciated the beautiful terrace to enjoy my wine and coffee.

This hotel was in an amazing location in the city, near lots of restaurants, bars, and other things to do and see. The room was clean and nice, and we had a terrace off of our room which was great and not much more expensive than other types of rooms. All the staff was nice and went out of their way to help. The breakfast was good as well. The only negative point I have is the spa - the water in the Jacuzzi was not warm, and the sauna wasn't that hot. The experiential shower only had cold water and wasn't useable in that state

The Catalonia was a truly excellent hotel in lovely Porto. Set in a convenient location, easily walkable from the Sao Bento station and the central area, this hotel was a delight. The staff were really helpful, whatever time of day or night we needed them, nothing was too much trouble for them. The rooms were ample, spacious and with great facilities, all cleaned to a superb standard. The breakfast was a good selection of continental fruit and cereals, plus hot options and vegetarian omelettes. And the outdoor pool, although cold, was highly refreshing and easily offset by the adjacent jacuzzi. I would highly recommend the Catalonia to anyone visiting Porto, it was a brilliant find and I would certainly stay there again

What a lovely hotel. The room with a garden terrace overlooking the pool was lovely and clean. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Spa area was nice and had a fabulous massage. A short 10min walk down to the riverside ( steep steps through the town). We were 2 friends and although had asked for a twin room when booking we could only get a double. Luckily we are good friends and the bed was huge so it was ok. The only feedback i have is that some coat hooks would be nice as there was nowhere to hang coats. Also a shelf in the bathroom would be good. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel was in a great location and within walking distance to the historical centre. The staff were exceptionally helpful and the facilities couldn’t be faulted. The breakfast and food was of a very high standard. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

This hotel is in a great location, it's super close to restaurants, bars and the downtown area. Upon arriving the team allowed for early check in as well as a room upgrade, which was very appreciated. The room was very clean, the shower was nice and spacious and the bed was incredibly comfy. The pool is quiet and gets lots of sun during the day, the sun lounges are very comfy, however can get busy on a hot day!

Amazing stay, hotel facilities and staff are top notch and the location of the hotel in Porto is brilliant. About 10 minute walk to the river and 10 minute walk to downtown. Price was great too, and they left us a nice surprise on our birthday which we’re really thankful for. 5 stars!
