The room had a musty/wet dog smell, the carpet was very visibly dirty - the bedding was clean and the pillows were comfortable.

Rooms that face the river with patio and sliding glass door is the best feature. the hotel has seen better days. The room I was given was at the far end closest to traffic, even though the hotel didn't seem that full. The carpets were worn. The bathtub faucet was difficult to turn off and on. The elevators are outside. I was told I could take the elevator closest to check in and go through the double doors to get to my room at the far end of the fourth floor. Actually, I had to go through 6 heavy doors with the baggage cart which was very awkward. I should have been advised to take the far elevator to get to the room. I needed two hours added to my checkout time, and this is normal because of housekeeping requirements, but I still felt they could have extended my stay as a gesture of good customer service. Sometimes, although Expedia bookings help fill up hotel space, the service can be secondary.

I've stayed here several times on business travel, great location close to freeways, excellent restaurant/bar attached to hotel. This building is a bit dated, but it's not the most expensive place in town, either. Can be difficult to get your receipt emailed to you as I've had to call more than once to ask them to send, when it was previously agreed upon in writing. Will stay here again, overall a comfortable facility.

I didn’t intend to stop for the night but the weather was so bad that I knew it would take me all night to get home. It was after midnight when I decided that I couldn’t go any further and looked for something available immediately. The property was near by and the booking was instant. I realized after I booked that because it was after midnight I accidentally booked for the following day. I contacted the property and it was fixed right away. In less than 20 minutes after I decided not to keep driving I was comfortably resting in a clean room. The service was excellent and the convenience was unbeatable.

No HD means NO return visit
Our main complaint and why we will not stay here again until it changes, is the fact that you have not come into the modern age and given your patrons HDTV! I felt like I needed a new eyeglass prescription at first, but it was all of the channels. Very disappointing

Room 443 needs new carpet, as it has a distinct sweaty feet smell, they also need to upgrade their sheets since they were a little pilly and scratchy. The room was spacious and otherwise very clean. I would stay here again if the price was reduced, but it's overpriced for the condition of the property.

Walk on the Dock
It was absolutely lovely. The front desk has amazing customer service no problems with the room at all. Very clean. Very nice and love that you can walk out on the dock by the river.

Didn’t stay. It was a misclick for a hotel in our own town that came up when we searched for a specific best western in Hood River. Mistook Riverveiw with “a riverveiw”. Non refundable mistake that was caught immediately after the submit button was clicked. When we immediately called Expedia support all we got was “sorry “. Definitely a sour taste from Expedia.

There was a tremendous amount of construction in the area making for a very loud environment. A street sweeper ran for at least two hours after 1am this morning repeatedly cleaning the hotel parking lot. Construction equipment was being delivered all throughout the night. Listened to backup alarms for hours and the sound of diesel motors at idle. Construction employees showed up every morning at 5am with music playing, doors slamming and loud conversations. Per hotel notifications I placed trash and towels out by my door to be removed, only to get back to my room at 5pm with it all still there. Per hotel notifications I requested my room to be cleaned and the linens replaced only to come back to my room at 5pm to find nothing had been done. Door closers not functioning properly, doors slamming all night long. Hotel stank of marijuana
