"Very nice stay in the suite with a delicious breakfast. Unfortunately the earthquake cut our stay short, but they were so accommodating and made sure we were taken care of. What a terrifying thing for the staff to navigate - they were wonderful. I fear the hotel had significant damage and hope they will be able to reopen. "

"Hotel seems quite new. Room is fairly spacious and beds are comfortable. Shower has good pressure and consistent temperature. Breakfast (vegetarian) spread is very good and tasty. Hotel has own car park sites just behind the hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful. Location is great - walking distance to night market and several famous eateries. Will definitely stay here again if I come to Hualien"

"I had a great stay in the hotel. Location is quite centralized and walking distance to the night market. Room is great and clean. The only issue I've is the lack of beverages in the room. I've to get the tea and coffee sachets from the lounge in basement, after asking the staff; I wasn't told that beverages could be obtained from the basement. Will be good if beverage sachets be provided in the room instead."

"This is my 2nd times staying in Hoya Hualien. The hotel is clean and the family room is good size for family of 3. The only downsize is the breakfast, not much variety. Highlights include: free shuttle from the train station (they met us at the train station exit with a sign so it was easy to find), delicious breakfast buffet, concierge to schedule tours (they reserved a half day tour of Taroko for us and it was an amazing tour too), Game Center for the kids, indoor and outdoor pools, huge rooms, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. A few stand outs include Bob, Vic and Jill - thank you!! We were at the hotel during the April 2024 earthquake. The hotel staff took incredible measures to ensure we were safe even though we were all experiencing the same frightening earthquake. They handed out complimentary food and water, helped us navigate how to leave the area by train, taxi or plane, talked to my family members to answer questions, and ultimately provided us a room to stay an extra night."
