There was a lot of litter around the property. I was travelling with a tiny dog and had to keep dragging her away from litter, especially around the dog designated area outside. Apart from that, the hotel was great.

Great stay at the Hampton Poconos/Stroudsburg. Staff was very kind. My only complaint was the cleanliness of the pool. Swaths of hair wrapped around my legs while swimming, skeeved me out. Otherwise - rooms were spotless and didn’t have any other issues.

We were greeted with a nice hello and great customer service. The women helped me out with my Hilton points. The stay was pleasant and conveniently located for visiting ESU. Breakfast was wonderful. The staff did a nice job

Family Vacation Stay
While the property is a bit older, the staff was really helpful for us, putting us near the back entrance so we could take our dog out when needed and the maintenance staff coming quickly to unstop a drain. The breakfast was substantial and the breakfast area well cared for, especially for how busy the hotel was those two days we were there.

A lot of little things. The floor was not carpeted. Additionally, our shoes stuck to the tiled floor, probably because it needs to be rinsed with fresh water after washing. The tub drain, didn't during the showers, resulting in backwash. They were slammed by a large crowd at breakfast, and the food quality suffered. If you know you're going to be packed, add staff and food. There were other small things that were noticeable as well. It wasn't terrible, but would choose another place if in the area in the future.

Location and breakfast was great! Big issues were: 1) The heating/AC had a mind of it's own and needs replacing. 2) I have no issue with a dog friendly hotel but two dogs barking at midnight was ridiculous. I finally had to call down as it was obvious that the owners had left the dogs alone in the room 3) House-keeping didn't come and clean the room as we stayed two nights.

Clean and pleasant overall...
The front desk had nobody watching it upon arrival. No bell to ring for service. Finally, a person sitting in the lobby seemed to walk down the hallway to announce to someone else that there were people waiting to check in. Despite that unprofessional greeting, check-in was easy. They gave us a very clean room, but the bed and pillows were both very uncomfortable. The bathroom was big and super clean; easy to step into and out of the shower. Excellent water pressure. The towels (and sheets on the bed, for that matter) were clean and comfortable. Breakfast had AMAZING coffee and the danishes we had were all better than expected. We met friends for breakfast later up the street, so we didn't have the complimentary hot breakfast, but it looked good. Check out went much smoother.
