We loved this hotel! It was charming and located right near the square and within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, supermarket, internet stop, etc. Taxi ride from the train station was under 10 Euros. The only thing we didn't like - and we really didn't like this - was that housekeeping staff entered our room TWICE without knocking. The people at the front desk stored our luggage for us after we checked out and also called a taxi for us, which we really appreciated.
We spent 2 weeks in Italy and this was the best hotel we stayed in. When we got there they upgraded us to a suite with a small balcony on the Grand Canal. Because we stayed 3 nights they also gave us a free trip out to the island of Murano. When you check in you will see behind the desk the awards that this hotel staff has won for service. They were so helpful and gave us such good practical advice on everything we asked them about. Wow! I
We had a wonderful time. The hotel staff arrange a great tour of an olive oil/balsamic vinegar/vineyard. Priceless. Also they arrange a city tour (a must). One misses a lot of information about the city with a self guided tour. Recommend great restaurants.

This hotel was booked as our base for the famous Palio events. Perfectly positioned for easy access to all parts of the city, ensuring our brief stay was packed full of all Siena has to offer.A very special time.
Access is from two streets near il campo, so convenient and quiet.nearby parking expensive so used main car park outside walls.fabulous fresco on our ceiling. Dont stay if you want mod con or decent breakfast. Fairly basic place but truly historic. Reasonable value
