Love the grounds, fitness centre and pool. 2nd trip here and was disappointed with no room service for one day and service in the bar and restaurants was sooo slow. 15 mins to get the bill? 15 mins for a coffee? Coffee shop and valet service were excellent. Location is gorgeous. Hotel needs a staff sweep as do the rooms if it’s going to remain a 5 star resort.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. The room was clean however it was worn. The flooring was in need of repair. The room paint with the lights on showed they just splashed paint to repaint. The bathtub was hilarious. It’s so small you can’t cover your body fully with water and the shower for a 5 star was very small. Beautiful resort but the room could be much better for this price.

Property is close to PHX airport. It is also at the foot of Camelback mountains. The resort amenities were above average - pool, waterslide, cabanas, game room, fitness center. Limited dining options for vegetarian - lack of good Italian or Mexican option onsite. Poolside menu was average as well for vegetarians. Rooms were average. Staff was good and helpful. Did not use/explore: Golf course, Tennis courts, Adult pool area - all of which seemed good from far. Spa and related amenities were good as well.

Our getaway
So this is an amazing place to spend your time. Great amenities, pools and water features for kids, tons of extra activities ( some free and some at extra cost) the food tasted great. The only issue we had was that when i booked the reservation said free breakfast but when i got to the hotel they only provided a $70 credit. This did not cover the basic buffet even and the hotel and hotels.com were both blaming eachother when i contacted them. Overall a nice and enjoyable stay.

Everything about the Phoenician is just lovely! The staff, the hospitality, the cleanliness, the food, they truly are a five-star resort for a reason! Make sure you take the time to walk around the property to see all the beautiful landscapes, there are cute secret paths, the cactus garden is a must see! Definitely take the time to explore the property, you will find some really nice hidden gems along the way! It’s one of our favorite resorts to stay at in the Valley!

We had the last room on the opposite side of the lobby, in which we arrived at check in time. Our room was not ready until late night and as you came back to your room the cleaning service wasn’t done until after 7pm.

I spent my birthday weekend here and it was a very beautiful resort. Everyone was extremely nice and the resort was super clean! It’s definitely a walk to get from the room, parking, lobby and pool area but it was worth it!

OMG. Brittany at the Registration desk was so wonderful-I was staying at the Phoenician to remember the days that my husband and daughter and I had stayed in the past. My husband died suddenly and this was a healing stay. Brittany was so gracious and sweet to me during this difficult time. Also, Helena in the bar as well as Gretchen in the pool area were beyond gracious. Will do my best to return.

This resort has its best days behind it. It's in serious need of renovations and upkeep. The cloth awnings over some of the rooms are torn and frayed, the tile that permeates the resort is outdated yellow crema marfil, and the wait staff in the restaurants/bars spend more time talking to each other than helping guests. I wish I had stayed anywhere else.
