Upon check in I was asked to leave a deposit , scanned my credit card 3 times but it didn’t work.
No drama said it was ok because their machine wasn’t scanning . we were taken to our ”room”
Upon walking in I got a big woof of musty / mouldy smell. We asked to see another room available and it was exactly the same. This was on level 4. One of the lifts were out so had to go up to level 5 and walk down to level 4. We were then shown a third room on level 2 or 3 on the other side and it also had a really bad musty/mouldy smell as soon as we walked in. No other rooms were available so we didn’t end up staying there. It was frustrating as by this stage it was midnight , the trip was long and that’s the last thing we expected as we read good reviews prior. They called a worker to come up to the room , he had his phone light on looking for signs of mould as the electricity was also out . He too started coughing in the room and we were there less than 5 minutes. We ended up booking elsewhere close by with no mould smell so no I would not recommend this hotel
