Awesome stay
We really enjoyed our time at Pataua North. Nev was great to chat with (Di had to travel so we didn’t get to know her as much). The beach and the Bay Area was unlike any place we have ever been, in a good way. Unfortunately for us we had a couple days of rain and Pataua North and South don’t have anything indoors to do. Our boys played a lot of ping pong and we did a day trip to Whangārei and the Kiwi North museum, which was great. This property is at the back of the house (we thought it was facing the beach) so you don’t have views from the garden area, but with a very short walk (steps away) we could drink our coffee and take in the scenic beauty. It is a special place and we really enjoyed the surf pad and the hosts.

Fantastic holiday!
I have been staying at Pataua for 30 years and will always return but this was the first time at the surf pad and totally loved it! Perfect quintessential classic kiwi home stay. Plus We were fortunate enough to enjoy world class surf.

A very special place
Pataua is such a special place, a real beauty. We arrived in the dark, Di and Nev left lights on for us and had even offered to grab us some supplies from town as there are no shops at Pataua. (Thank you) Next morning we woke up and saw the beach which is stunning. We were there to see friends and our kids all hung out together. Between the beach and the estuary we had plenty to do. It was nice to come back to surf pad to sleep in very comfy beds with the sound of the ocean each night. We loved our stay. Do and Nev were great hosts. Thank you.

We found the listing to be very deceptive
The listing was described as a house, in reality it was a flat underneath the owners house at the back of the property. There was no view of the ocean as the outdoor living area faced the road.The flat was quite dark but it was very clean and nicely decorated. The beach was beautiful

The property was advertised with photos of the accommodation no other tenants have ever complained about the way it is advertised I think you failed to ask questions and have attempted make us feel bad because you choose A place that was not up to your expectations. We at Surfpad have always endeavoured to make our guest feel at home I am sorry 30 paces from the beach was to much for you . I suggest next time that you ask a few more questions so that the next bach owners can explain the set up. You are the 1st person in 25 years who has ever made these comments. I am sorry that as you repeatedly said I am so disappointed.

An idyllic setting next to the beach
This is a beautiful spot next to the sweeping surf beach of Pattaya North, and a few minutes walk to the estuary. The place is clean, well equipped, quiet and snug. The owners are on site and vey welcoming. We would definitely come back.

Relaxing stay at the beach
Surfpad was the perfect spot for a holiday. The location, next to both a surf beach and estuary, provided plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, with direct access to the beach. Diane, the host, was friendly and helpful. Many thanks! Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beach holiday.

What a wonderful find, we had a very relaxing time, beach front access, would stay again for sure.
This place is well set up, its comfortable, clean with access to the beach, i miss sitting on the beach front chairs and watching the world go by, our stay really was special. The owners are super friendly and really enjoyed their company. Im the self appointed table tennis champion, all challenges accepted.

Great way to spend a weekend
Located right on the beach with great sunrises and moonrise too. Fantastic surf beach BUT ....haha... not really ideal for charging in on a large ocean kayak. Stick to the awesome estuary nearby for that gig. We had an amazing stay and would love to come back repeat it all over again :) ;)

Surf pad on the beach
Di and Nev are an honest local couple who live close by and are really easy going and welcoming . The apartment is 30 meters from the beach and located on the west afternoon sunny end on the property . Note that there is no shops for 30 minutes so bring your tea and coffee . If your looking for a chance to try surfing or rent a board or instruction , this is the place to be .

Wonderful place to stay
This was one of the memorable holidays we’ve had. That was due in no small part to the excellent accomodation and hospitality of Di and Nev. House was excellently appointed, spotlessly clean and plenty big enough for our adult family. Location is unbeatable, a stone’s throw to the beach. Di and Nev are wonderful hosts, unassuming yet friendly, approachable but mindful of your privacy. The fresh fish a delightful bonus. A top stay, unreservedly recommend.

Heaven on earth

Amazing Bach right on the beach
We all had a great time at the bach in Pataua - surf was excellent and the Bach was in a perfect spot right on the beach. Was well equipped with a BBQ and all kitchen equipment, and they even lit a fire for us in the evening. We will be back!

The surf pad was everything one could ask for. Plenty of privacy with quite comfortable accommodations. Lovely beach of course. The hosts were not only friendly but fabulously talented as well. Bonus points for the two super resident kitties. We felt so special that one would join us for evening cocktails on the beachside deck and the other shared our bed at night. But don't tell. We were lucky Hawaiians to have found the Surf Pad at Pataua.

Great little place that suited the six adults in our group perfectly. Pataua is such a special spot.
Enjoyed a bbq in the garden which was perfect as it was out of the wind so didnt mind not having the sea views. Very tidy little place, well fitted out. Neville and Diana were excellent hosts. We enjoyed exploring both Pataua North and South by foot. Many choices of lovely beaches which means there is always somewhere to laze when the wind comes up. Thoroughly recommend it if you are happy not to have big sea views from your accommodation. Lovely spots to sit outside, right on the beach.
